Welcome to Cavatina Violin Studio, a music school specializing in private violin lessons located in Midtown Toronto!

At Cavatina Violin Studio, we believe in the art of teaching, as well as the art of learning. We feel it is important for students to understand the cause and effect of their actions while they play the violin. Understanding the processes of how to play allows a student to become self-​sufficient, so they are able to make music long after the lesson is over. Our goal is to guide each student to become a technically sound, musical, self-​aware musician who enjoys playing the violin.

We draw from a wide range of teaching resources to create and structure lessons to best fit the needs and goals of every student we work with. While we utilize elements from many popular curriculums, such as RCM and Suzuki, we are not exclusive to these methods. We create a uniquely tailored curriculum and lesson experience for our students by discerning how each individual perceives and retains information, and blend each student’s unique learning style with our pedagogy resources. As a result, you will find a lesson experience designed to build, inspire and challenge each student.

We enjoy working with students of all ages and ability levels; and in addition to our private lesson program, we also offer chamber music and performance programs.

History

Established in 2015.

Cavatina Violin Studio is owned and operated by violinist and pedagogue Carmen Lasceski-​Custers. Carmen’s passion for teaching coupled with her entrepreneurial spirt lead her to open the doors of her very own teaching studio in September of 2015. The fusion of Cavatina’s warm and inviting atmosphere with Carmen’s dynamic teaching style have been inspiring students ever since.
