History

Established in 1996.

In 1996, a group of business leaders from some of Canada’s leading organizations made a commitment to significantly contribute to youth employment by developing Career Edge Organization and Career Edge, a unique and innovative paid internship program, after learning that more than 600,000 Canadian graduates were unemployed or under-​employed. Since then, these founding organizations have joined forces with over 1,000 additional employers to provide over 12,000 recent university and college graduates, including those with self-​declared disabilities, and internationally qualified professionals with career-​launching internship opportunities.
