Bernardo is a master of hair cutting and hair colour. He makes me look ten years younger! I think that he is the best that you will find in the city of Toronto. He also has a good sense of humour.

This guy has dropped his game a long time ago. He used to be known for being good with colour but the few times I visited he botched the colours so badly. He destroyed it on the night of my graduation, where I specifically told him it was important, and styled it so bad that I could have legitimately done it better myself. Came over today because I figured what I needed him to do(dye the ends of my hair to match the rest) would be an easy task and I didn’t want to track across town for such a simple task. He took the slight colour difference I had and made my ends almost BLACK(I’m naturally a medium-light ash). He also didn’t even bother to brush out my hair just dropped it from a pony tail and started going at it. He SAW that he messed up and told me that it will fade with washing. AND he took my money. Literally zero people in his salon, but he acts like he’s always busy. DONOT go there if you want a good job or at least fair, courteous service.

I lived above this shop for a few years and became addicted to spending time in this shop. First of all, Bernard gives amazing colour — always seemed to be able to figure out where to go with my style and colour before I did. And the cuts always grew out beautifully and the colours never seemed to dull. Anna is great in there too — plus they’re both lots of fun and SO nice! Great prices as well — and no matter how busy he was — Bernard seemed capable of doing 4 people at once — and no one seemed slighted and no one took any longer than if he was doing them exclusively! Plus Bernard was a rockstar in Italy when he was younger — and he still is!

Conveniently located right around the corner from my house, this small salon is pretty much a one man show. Bernard does it all… cut, colour, blow dry. I’ve had some great cuts here. Bernard is super efficient, which I appreciate because I am always in a rush. The cost, $ 50, seems to be the going rate for a cut/blow dry. The one draw back is that they don’t take debit, just cash or visa(that’s why they lost a star).
