Barbie A.

Manager

Barbara was born in Rome, raised in Toronto, Canada. She is the co-​owner and baker for CakeStar Sweet Boutique in South Etobicoke. She has been in the world of food all her life, and loves every minute of it. The daughter of a pastry chef and an artist. She adopted her father’s love for the kitchen with her mother’s love of art and fashion. Barbara had practically lived in her family bakery for 26 years. Here, is where she played in her creative sandbox, baking, creating and learning. In 2011, a dream came true and CakeStar found it’s first retail location Etobicoke, Long Branch. Since then business has been thriving!

Barbara has explored creative outlets such as interior design and jewelry making but cake is her favourite by far! Barbara is an entrepreneur, designer, social media queen, baker and overall executor.

She is ready to take on anything life throws at her, one cake at a time.
