I stopped by to pick up some treats on my way in to work on a recent Saturday morning. Right when I stepped in the door, I was greeted with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked bread and a beautiful display of sweet treats. I ordered an assortment of croissants and viennoiseries, which were still warm when they were neatly packed up. After living in Montréal, where there is an abundance of places where you can find authentic croissants, I admit that I’ve become a bit of a croissant snob… I tried the chocolate almond croissant, which was good, but not great. Four things.(1) It was more flaky-bready than crisp-flaky with a tender interior.(2) The chocolate was woven into the layers of dough, kind of like a babka, instead of the batons that you usually see in a chocolatine. Now that I think about it, the texture was halfway between a really good croissant and a really good babka.(3) The almond cream, though present visually, was barely perceptible in taste.(4) The finished product was oddly dark. It didn’t taste over baked, so I’m guessing it was a result of the chocolate layers in the dough??? Having said all that, I was pretty happy with the flavour overall and the pastries were a hit with my coworkers. An artisan bakery with a rustic, country, down-home feel at the intersection of two major thoroughfares… What an unexpected find!

I love the owner and the quality of their products! I love people who know what they do and love what they do! Amazing little organic bakery! + amazing customer service!!! One day, I forgot my wallet and asked them to keep the bread aside so I could come back later but they let me leave and said I could come back and pay the next day. Thanks guys!

As someone who tries to significantly reduce my carbs, I have to say all the bread and pastries I’ve tasted from this bakery are well, well, WELL worth the calories and carbs. All of the bread is richly flavoured with delicious crust. Amazing.

We really like the variety of goodies here considering the wee space they have. Everything is really fresh. Downside is on three separate occasions we walked over to find them closed during their regular business hours. No breads, no lights, no signage. Just closed in the middle of a regular day. Kinda disappointing. Being vegetarian we asked for a couple of spinach pies one day, but the sales woman had given us meat :(

When you walk in the smells of the baked goods just take over and you want it all. The pastries are nice but I’ve only tried those once. I enjoy their fresh baked muffins like he banana blueberry which the guy told me is dairy free I think. Friendly service too. 4 stars since price of muffin($ 2.50) is a tad pricey but it’s tasty.

Wow. I can’t tell you how much I’m blown away by this little bakery. First off, the staff are incredibly nice and knowledgeable, they seem to be very proud of the ingredients they use. All organic and they make their own yeast starters, not commeercialized yeast. Their sourdough bread is AMAZING! It is an absolute must-try. I like how most of their products are healthy and made out of quality ingredients. Their danishes are also to die for. Highly recommended this place!

This is a cute little bakery located right next to Bayview Village. If you are commuting from a nearby office or the subway, this bakery is a nice pit stop for a quick bite. But if you are purposely making a drive here, I would suggest not to because there is no parking designated for the store therefore you need to park at Bayview Village then take the stairs up, which is slightly inconvenient. Now onto the food, the food was pretty good, would’ve been nice if it was warmed up for me(not sure if this options available or not). I had the«pizza» flavoured bread which was soaked in egg and stuffed with vegetables and cheese, and I also had an almond croissant. The service was incredible and it definitely started my morning on the right side. I will most likely visit again if I’m taking the subway to Bayview.

They are located under the boat-shaped condo at Bayview Village beside the TD Canada Trust. These guys make some of the best bread I’ve ever had. I am officially hooked on their jalapeño cheese and fig loaves. They bake other types of snack-sized baked baked goods like cinnamon rolls, croissants, cookies and date squares but the bread is absolutely unreal. They are a high-end bakery so items are understandably pricier than your average place. I highly recommend that you, atleast, walk by, open their door and take a whiff.
