This is a great place for you, and your friends to come enjoy a night out of physical activity.
I am very happy and satisfied from my times at Boulderz, and looking forward to more sessions.
The price is great ! You certainly get what you pay off. I paid $ 20 and go a day pass and the rock climbing shoes. Great service. Great price. And enough room for everyone to try and learn.
There are two levels. The first level is the climbing level. The second level is for training. You will most likely spend most time on the first floor.
You will find sufficient time to practise, although it appears to be busier after 8pm ! So therefore, my tip for you would be to arrive at 7pm or earlier to avoid crowds.
The place is not very big, so keep in mind you may have to wait and line up for climbs. But people are generally very supportive of all climbers.

They have a great intro to bouldering package. If you’ve never bouldered before I would definitely recommend it. I thought the routes here were challenging and fun. They have by far the best top over system I have seen. Nice amenities such as free chalk, foot washing station and individial change room stalls. However, it gets insanely packed in here with little walking room.

I really like Boulderz. Though it sometimes gets crowded on the weekends and after school, it is a great place to climb. The memberships are reasonable ($ 30 monthly) and the staff are friendly and enthusiastic as are the regulars. I’m new to climbing but have never felt threatened or intimidated.
Even the «easy» routes are challenging, especially if you are trying to use proper form and there are lots of different routes that are constantly changing. The gym also does lots of deals for newcomers and those who have never climbed before.

A climbing gym of a different breed.
I love this place. It is friendly, usable for solo climbers and open late with helpful staff and regulars.
This is mainly a bouldering gym: lower walls, no ropes, thick mats, and generally harder routes. The routes are short puzzles that climbers must solve, not power through. This is the best way to increase your climbing technique, and can be beginner friendly, but does not allow for lazy ‘lean on the rope’ type climbing.
The bouldering here is better than at any other climbing gym in Toronto. While all are climbing gyms, it’s tough to compare Boulderz to the others. It has a completely different focus. I prefer bouldering, as do many. It is unfair to rate this lower if judging based on the few top ropes available as the other reviews seem to.
They do get pretty busy, but I’ve never had to wait long, or felt like I didn’t get to climb as much as a wanted.

By far my favorite place to climb in Toronto. Great variety of routes suitable for any skill level complimented by a welcoming, fun community. Great place to workout, meet new people, or to bring a date.

I was disappointed with the service I received for my child’s birthday party. The centre was overcrowded and chaotic and the owner was obviously overwhelmed. The climbing instructors were good with the children during their climb, but they were unfriendly to the children during the party room/​cake portion of the party. The owner was rude and condescending and unhelpful when one of the children in the party required assistance. I would not recommend this centre for children’s birthday party celebrations when unforeseen problems can easily arise.

Never having been to just a climbing centre that focused mostly on bouldering, I was surprised to come here and find that there were only 4 walls with top ropes (and all were really hard to access since staff were busy and they had put the ropes out of reach.) I should have clued in with the name «Boulderz» — duh!
That being said, Boulderz is not a very large place (esp. compared to a Joe Rockheads or a Rock Oasis), but if you are a big fan of bouldering, it looks like it would be great. There are many changerooms, the staff are nice, but man is it ever crowded. Lots of people waiting around to climb. The upstairs seems to have a training area.

Small, a bit crowded and the routes aren’t very well maintained (1⁄3rd of the holds didn’t have stickers on them).
I love bouldering, and if you live near to the space it a great home «gym», the have a tread wall, free weights and a few hold bars to do exercises while working on your holds and grips.
As a novice there were only three or four routes set up at the very easy or easy (yellow or blue) which was ok for that visit but not something we’d come back for.
Finally there was a staff member screaming directions at some youngsters the majority of the time we were there. Not saying good or bad, but that is my experience.
My gf, said she would like to try another place next time and I agreed.

We came here using a WagJag coupon for Beginner’s lessons.
After making a reservation, we got there and Andrew gave a really thorough lesson about how to wear the harness, tie your self in, belay, and checking your partner to make sure everything’s okay. I really like the way he taught us, making sure we all get it before moving on to the next step. Also as a noob, I felt comfortable enough, and give enough time to figure everything out. I also liked how he gave me a sense of where I should be, how I should feel as a new person
The walls they have about 7 ropes on the wall, and a bouldering section where you can climb up to the top. There’s also a kiddie section as well. I haven’t been to other places, but it was quite full already with 3 different groups (we were 4, another couple and another group of 4).
