I used to really like this place but nowadays it’s usually understaffed with cashiers who don’t care and truly show it. I was overcharged for my drink, and wasn’t asked if I wanted a booster. I wouldn’t go back and if I really needed a drink, I’d prolly go to formocha a few blocks down eglinton.

Booster juice is always a healthier alternative compared to those sugary frozen drinks from Second Cup or Starbucks. This Booster Juice stand is tucked away upstairs in the Yonge & Eglinton mall and I think that it’s an okay place. They have many juice options, food and a variety of smoothies. They call their smoothies ‘booster juice’ because you’re to pick a vitamin booster powder that they blend into your drink for health benefits. The drinks are made right in front of you using fresh fruits, low-fat frozen yogurt and other products depending on what drink you choose. They have high-protein, tropical, berry choices and more. The staff there is helpful and kind, and the drinks are consistent. The major downfall about this place is that it’s expensive; a booster juice is around $ 6 each. That’s pretty expensive for something you can make at home if you own a juicer or blender.

It’s about time I put up a review of this mecca of deliciousness. I’ve long been a fan of Booster Juice… from North Vancouver’s Park & Tilford location(they’re by far the nicest people ever — they’ll do substitutions for you to your liking and they know how to make a thick smoothie) to the one at Yonge & Eglinton. Anyway…there’s always a long line up here, and I don’t mind. My favourite drink is Sonic Soy… and the only peeve I have against it is the fact that they don’t say anywhere that this bevvy is made with sorbet. I only found that out when the guy at the Denman St. location explained. So…order a Sonic Soy… it’s decent in the kcals and sugar… BUT substitute the sorbet for frozen yogurt. And if you like, sub the strawberries for mangoes. Either way, it’s a win-win. The wheatgrass juice is disgustingly good for you. Do it.
