The service is great, the food is not. Taste wise, the food is tasty, however i ordered the butter chicken and i saw them in the back microwaving the chicken in a plastic container. No thanks. I would go back because the guy at the front was polite and fast but the idea of microwaving food in plastic just isn’t for me.

This is my first place visiting this fast food restaurant, and its been on my «to go to» list for roughly 3 weeks now. I went with a coworker of mine, as this place is only a 10 minute drive from work. This is located in the strip mall plaza, where the Loblaws is. It is in between Teriyaki and Extreme Pita. Upon entering, the place was clean and very well kept. We were greeted by the owner of the franchise, and a staff member. They asked us if we have been there before, and of course we said no. Their reply to that was a nice warm welcome, and they told us their specials, and other various dishes on their menu. They also explained the spice level of each dish. We both opted in for their Chicken Tikka special, where you get salad, naan, rice, the meat, and a drink of choice. All for $ 8.99. Extras are chick peas, red kidney beans, and few others. Upon waiting for our food, the owner informed the chef/cook to make sure the spice levels are correct. After getting the food, we sat down, and chowed down! The overall taste and spice were perfect. The naan was big, and hey we didn’t complain. It tasted well, and it was warmed up. Although it would be great to see if it came buttered, and if they offered more choices of naan bread down the road. The meal overall was sumptuous and there’s no regrets. Now onto other things: 1) As it is, the place is small, and as for the tables, there’s not much. They do have those high tables with stools for more seating. Since this is a fast food place, I won’t complain. The chairs are laid out against the wall. 2) The cutlery is all plastic, which is fine, and comes prepackaged with salt, pepper, a knife and fork, and a serviette/table napkin. 3) The trash/recycle bin is in the back which is a nice thing. I would definitely come back to this place, and try their other dishes. They do serve cottage cheese(paneer), lamb and chicken.

Bombay Rotti has showed me that it is possible to have a fast food Indian food. It is the healthiest fast food restaurant i have been to that competes with the taste of India. You can taste the rich and freshness in every chicken bite. Its assimilation of Indian culture with american-Canadian fast food theme is an amazing idea. They have come up with new chicken, and salad sauces since they first started. The Customer care is like non other. They genuinely want to make sure that your stomach is full and fully satisfied. You can tell that the employees are enjoying and have full customer care. Note: The water bottles are the cheapest bottles compared to the other locations in the Duffrin-Steeles plaza. I will 100% come back again, exploring the vast variety of Bombay Rotti. Recommended.

I wanted to try this place because I love rotii and curries. This is not the place to go if you’re looking for authentic Indian food. This restaurant appeals more to the masses. With all that said, the service was fast and very friendly. The place was very clean and the food was fresh and tasty. I would go here again.

Bombay roti is sort of Indian lite, fast food restaurant. It is cheap and simple but maybe too simple. I had the chicken wrap and enjoyed it because it was fresh but it was bland too so the Indian flavour is missing a bit. I will come back to try their other items and hope to get bigger and bolder flavour

The food was great, it’s a different concept, where they have salad bowls with indian dishes, must try.

Bombay Rotii is a new place in the Steeles & Dufferin area. They are trying something new, and are a non-traditional Indian food place. The concept is similar to z-teca or chipotle with the burrito bowls & salads. So they do the same thing but with indian food. It kinda works for the rice bowls, but the salads are a bit strange. I tried the Masala chicken on top of a bed of salad which was nice. The dressings are basically the same sauces they would use on their meat: Butter chicken, masala, mint, and something else I can’t remember. I tried both the butter chicken and the masala on the side. Both were too thick to really use on a salad, so I wouldn’t really recommend. They are new and they said they are looking into some lighter dressing options. I can’t say I loved the concept, but they did seem quite busy with lunch customers, so I hope they do really well here.
