BluGod Tattoo & Piercing

I got a tattoo by a girl (anon) and it was fantastic. However a few months later I found out blugod was closed. After investigating the tattoo artists’ Instagram pages who worked there I found out that blugod had been accused of stealing their artists’ artwork and had «let go» of all their staff except the manager. I commented on their latest Instagram post asking what happened and was blocked in 5 minutes. I do NOT support blugod as their ethics are questionable despite having a nice studio. Being accused of stealing artwork and not reimbursing clients who put a deposit on the artists that you «let go» is not something I endorse.

This place rocks. Sterile, clean, sleek design and friendly staff. Was my first tattoo and I felt very much at ease with Liza Musselman, my tattoo artist. Well definitely be back.

I decided that I wanted to get a nose piercing spontaneously today. After learning of the March break deal that they have, I decided to come in after work. So, I came in with the boyfriend who wanted to get a new jewelry for his cartilage piercing.
The place seemed busy but we didn’t wait for long. Everything moved on really smoothly. My piercer Sarah was great. She was patient and friendly even though it was obvious that she had a lot to think about (the place was busy that day). If you have gotten bad piercers before, you’d know that they are impatient and rough. But Sarah was the opposite of that. Turns out that my boyfriend’s cartilage piercing was in a bad condition, so she switched it out for him. I appreciate that she took the time to talk to us about the aftercare for the piercing. The piercing rooms (on the second floor) were very well-​decorated and clean. I personally liked it because it seemed like a homey-​hospital setting.
Overall, I would recommend BluGod to anyone who would like to get a tattoo or piercing (especially for the first time). I’d also recommend Sarah (the piercer and the manager, I believe), as she was a huge part of this good experience.
Oh, and I love my new nose piercing!

people are friendly and piercers are great but man oh man — specials orders for jewelry: stay away! took forever, got it wrong, no updates.

I got my first tattoo today. The artists were really friendly and comprehensive to the needs. They were very clean and hygenic. I would recommend Blugod to those who are getting tattoo for the first time.

Its been a year since I went only reason I waited was I wanted to see how my tattoo would heal.
This place was amazing
I went last November for my first tattoo. This place was amazing nice people. As my first tattoo I really didn’t know what to expect. Am getting the logo of the avengers and my kids name under it. My tattoo artist was clint. While I was getting it done I started to feel dizzy and sweating alot since I have diabetes I wasnt really ready so I didnt eat before hand. So he gave me his own kit kat bar really nice answered all my question I had talked to me very nice.
A couple a months later my wife went in for her xmen logo tattoo this time got johnny and another great artist for her first time. He was very nice talked alot about comics had great music on.
What I like is they give you a free touch up within the year. It worked out great my wife need a touch up

Clean and very esthetic, stylish environment. And the staff could not have been friendlier! Make you feel very comfortable while you are there! Great experience and we will definitely be back soon! Ps Darwin kicks ass!

Randomly walked by. My wife really wanted to get her nose pierced and I want a portrait of my daughter. Very friendly service, great pricing. Very nice people. I will be going back for my sleeve, and Kat was gentle and über professional with piercing my wife’s nose. What a great experience.

Ok, so the first time I went here, I was blown by how clean the place is.
They don’t have the best jewelery selection for piercings but they’re the cleanest shop I’ve ever been; and I know clean since I’m a nurse…
I’ve had 3 of my piercings done here by 3 different piercers.
Whitney and Jessie have since left (who were better piercers than the ones left) and I cant say my nipple piercing was a good experience.
Not the pain but it wasn’t pierced properly. I found out later after they weren’t healing that she had pierced my areola and not my nipple. I had to take them out immediately after 6 months.
She wasn’t very helpful with my VCH piercing either, which I had also gotten there, luckily by Jessie– wasted my time and I live in Brampton.
For a manager she’s the least friendly and unfortunately will always be there
Not to say she’s a bad piercer but I haven’t gone back for piercings there at least. I don’t recommend getting piercings there if it’s by her. I don’t think she knows what she’s doing
Tattoo wise they have awesome artists. I took my bf here to get his first tat by Darwin– who’s awesome btw. And my bf’s afraid of needles so, props to him. The artist that first tattooed me moved to adrenaline, so did my first piercer.
Overall its a good clean place for tats and piercings. I would recommend Kat over Sarah but that’s just me
They are a bit pricey but that because they’re downtown, and everything’s on the ipad etc. technology you have to pay for but on the plus side that have deals every now and again for piercings which tend to be affordable

Had two sessions here. The studio is pristine and SUPER sterile. It can be a little bit intimidating to go in. Some of the staff are super friendly, some not so much. They do good work but as with other shops on Yonge, are a little bit on the pricey side. Worth checking out.

I had an excellent experience at Blugod. Got an industrial piercing on my ear — looks great! Mel, the piercer, put me completely at ease. Mel was friendly, professional & funny! Getting pierced was fast & comfortable. The studio was spotless & stylish. Thanks Mel & Blugod!

So I came here after work one Friday a few weeks ago,
I wanted to get my rook pierced but they were extremely busy,
So one of the guys gave me a coupon to get my piercing done at half the price on the Sunday
The piercing is normally $ 60 including the jewelry
He gave it to me for $ 30,
$ 60 is a bit much
They also had vegan Toronto made after care products for sale,
In which I bought the spray and cleanser
So I go in Sunday and I have Jesse pierce my ear
She was very nice and talked me through it
Making sure I knew everything that was going on and stuff
I got the piercing and was thoroughly satisfied
3 days later I wake up and my ear has swollen 4 times the size and is throbbing and red
I continue to do. Salt soaks and everything they told me to
But 2 days after that the condition still hadn’t changed so I got to a piercer a little closer to my house
I go in and the piercer looks at my ear
I was there for an hour while she squeezes all the puss out, cleans it up and tells me a full new care instructions
Jesse at blugod told to use a q tip which I know now is why it got infected
The q tip was moving the piercing around too much and got it irritated
The piercer at the new place told me that the bar she put in was way way too small, and could get covered if it swelled anymore
She also gave me new care products and told me the cleanser wasn’t doing anything or even necessary
A few days later still not better, bar almost not visible, so I go to the clinic and get antibiotics
Few days later looking great!
I told the guys at work about my experience and they told m to go in and talk to them and see if they have a policy or something because my bar is too small
So I go in and talk to the red head with cheek piercings
She was ruder than rude to me
I told her what was going, very politely I may add, and as soon as I said antibiotics she laughed in my face, thanks
She only offered to change my ring and nothing else
She then look at my ear and decided she didn’t need to do anything cause it looks fine
Thing is, it took a lot to get it to this point
I wouldn’t go back there because of my experience
The jewelry was way too small, and the costumer service was horrible
Very rude
I had another problem with another employee there before I got the piercing, but I won’t go into that
I don’t suggest blugod to anyone for piercings

clean sterile and lots of great artists. I’ve had a sleeve done by todd and a smaller piece by darwin… I honestly can’t see myself going anywhere else anytime soon. I also like that the other artists come in a check up on what other artists are doing… it’s like a team shop which is nice.

Great experience here getting a piercing. (No, I won’t tell what piercing!)
Piercing was done by Whitney who was funky but also incredibly professional. The whole place was very clean and freshly sterilized tools were used with proper technique. The piercing itself was nicely done and has been healing well with no infection.
I’d definitely recommend BluGod.

And then you want to get a piercing!
I wandered into Bluegod around 9:30pm.
I was glad that they had a piercer still working!
They were friendly and showed me the studs and rings.
I was getting a cartilage piercing, nothing too kinky, don’t get excited! =P
I filled out a «if we screw up it’s not our fault» form using an iPad.
I guess that deters drunk people from getting tattoos because that form was freaking hard to complete.
You pay upfront and choose your stud and away you go! The price is fair, it’s not cheap but it’s fine. $ 50 bucks which includes your boring crappy piercing jewelery.
When it was time to go I was led to a private piercing booth on the second floor. The shop is actually bigger than I thought. It has 3 or 4 windowed tattoo rooms and rock tees and hoodies at the front.
Whitney is the piercing specialist and she was really nice and fun to chat with. After cleaning the area and having me confirm the marked area for the piercing, you take a DEEP breath and exhale.
OW! WTF.
Uh, I mean, GRRR I’m tough. That’s was nothing!
They give you some information about piercing care and they have cleaning solutions and all that stuff available. There were other customers there waiting to get tatts and piercings. If you are getting more than one thing done, you can negotiate a better price.
Overall, a good experience. The staff were young, fun, but still professional. And importantly, they were very clean and it was a trouble-​free piercing.
