Bite Me Bakery

Checked out Bite Me Bakery the day after Valentine’s. V-​Day inspired flavours such as red velvet and strawberry were still on the menu though. Some cupcakes even had Sweethearts (y’know those candied hearts with cheesy messages such as «Be Mine» or «XOXO»?) placed on top of them and I thought this was a nice touch. Although the thought that these were day old cupcakes crossed my mind.
Although bite sized, the bakery claims that these cupcakes are exploding with flavour.
But they are nothing more than a variation of common supermarket cupcakes — sloppily piped and super sugary icing as well as dry cake. They taste like they were made with cheap ingredients and perhaps not enough butter. I would not return despite the friendly service (and the complimentary Hershey’s kisses).

The cupcakes are cute but they are ok…
A little pricey for such small cupcakes though.
The icing slides off very easily so make sure that the container is not slented.

I am not a real cupcake connoisseur but I do like a moist cupcake with a decent amount of icing that is sweet but not too sweet, and with flavour if it is meant to have flavour.
I had the Vanilla Fig and it was super yummy. $ 1.50 for a bite? At least I don’t have to eat a whole cupcake, I can just select a few mini ones and eat a whole bunch.
I have also visited Dlish on Yonge street (By Yonge /​Bloor) and it was heavenly there as well.

This little sweet shop of wonderfulness, may serve up tiny cupcakes, but there is nothing else small about this cheeky little Toronto spot.
With a rotating daily cupcake menu offering up to 6 choices on any given day, you might be so lucky as to try their famous red velvet OR as I got to try on a recent visit — A Jack and Coke flavoured cupcake — which was sublime!
In April I employed the services of Dayna and her team to provide me with 100 cake pops that looked like golf balls. As you can see from the pictures uploaded to their business page they were so lifelike that many of the guests to my event thought that they were REAL until I pointed out that they were filled with chocolate cake goodness.
They get extra points from me on the presentation of the cake pops on delivery. I figured that they would be delivered in a box or on a tray but when, Nicole of BMB showed up to deliver… SHE DELIVERED!!! All 100 cake pops were beautifully arranged on a custom made base of artificial golf green!
This brings me to another point, that being the versatility of this Bakery, while it’s their 120 calorie mini cupcakes that made them famous, it’s their ability to do almost anything in the kitchen from cake pops to novelty cakes, that in my opinion makes them a hit!
They’re delicious, cute, fun and cheeky (and I’m not just talking about about the desserts) :)
I’d highly recommend stopping into their storefront on Saint Clair Ave for a taste of the daily special or using them for your next event!

I have yet tried Bite Me Bakery’s Cupcakes but I have to say Bite Me Bakery made awesome eligible Golf Balls Cake Pops!
Thanks Bite Me Bakery for those awesome golf balls that looks so realistic and taste so yummy. So great looking that almost all of us were fooled thinking those were the real thing!
I definitely would be trying out some of their cupcakes!
But seriously, those white chocolate golf balls has even dimples and sitting on a tee! I still cannot get over that!

Bought two dozen mix a day before Valentines for my girlfriend, so I came expecting long wait times etc. Not only were they staying open later but it had to be one of the friendliest and hilarious experiences I’ve ever had at a store, plus not a long wait at all. I went through a livingsocial deal so the prices were incredible for what I got. We’ve tried only half of the batch so far but I can say we don’t dislike a single one. They’re so full of flavour and can be some good fun trying it out. Dayna, the owner, is fantastic, there is so much character to that place you just don’t want to leave. Disclaimer: all the cupcakes have dirty names to them, so, y’know, don’t give them to Aunt.

I ordered cupcakes from Bite Me Bakery upon tasting their fabulously delicious creations at an event 3 months prior. Boy did Bite Me Bakery did NOT disappoint! I had Bite Me Bakery special deliver an assortment of mini cupcakes for my Husband’s birthday early December & he absolutely LOVED THEM! Not to mention, so did his work colleagues at the office! One colleague actually replied «yeah, these cupcakes are definitely worth drving downtown for…» And they have since ventured twice there! From Mississauga!
Amongst the ordered flavours were, Mint Condition (Mint Chocolate-​a classic favourite!), Strawberry Striptease (with Strawberry buttercream & a Fresh sliced strawberry), Canadians do it better (Maple Buttercream with Candied Bacon-​oooooh yes!!) & Get Lei’d (Coconut Buttercream-​Super Yummy & Tropical!!)
They are Truly Fun, Beautiful and Utterly Delicious! :D
