Big Al’s Delish is a small deli take-​out and catering operation, down the street from us on Bathurst.
We tried the sandwich special — $ 6.95 with pop or $ 5.95 without, which is a steal. I had the corned beef on rye, and my wife had the pastrami. (Other choices — roast beef, turkey) These are large, delicious sandwiches (we both saved half for later), with a kosher dill on the side. I also ordered a small potato salad, which we both liked very much.
Affable Big Al gave us a sample of his home-​made sour cream cake. Also excellent.
There is a small selection of home-​baked cakes and cookies.
There is an extensive catering menu, including a brunch menu and a bbq menu.
It is mainly a take-​away business, but there is one table and two chairs.
