My wife has been bothering me for years to get laser, As far as laser clinics go, beauty bar clinic is great.. I was surprised to learn theyve been around for 12 yrs! So far my treatments have been successful. After my fifth laser hair removal treatment results are great. That may change, but good so far. I will update with my 6^th treatment. Place is clean and very modern. I look forward to seeing what happens next. The gift bag & Fiji bottled water was a nice touch they offered sample skin care and promotions to try new services. I highly recommend them!

Great experience, I went for a facial and laser touch up that I had done about 16 years ago and my hair is still not back the girls are great and very detailed and they know their products overall great experience, I highly recommended to all my friends. Location is great too

i have had the chance to experience a few services at Beauty Bar Laser, and I have left very happy each time. Everyone is very caring and has a great deal of knowledge in everything they offer. The Complimentary Fiji eater and gift bag is a really nice touch. They will explain each service to you to the fullest so you know everything before the service. It is your one stop destination for all cosmetic services (hellllloooo botox !)…I def would recommend this to all my friends! I can’t wait until my next appointment !

This review is for CoolSculpting. The freezing off your fat thing. Yes, you read that right.
I’m a firm believer in trying everything once when it comes to beauty, and this was no exception. Since Beauty Bar is one of the very few places that offers this treatment, and I’m a long-​time customer, I decided to give it a go and treat my outer/​inner thigh areas. For the longest time, I debated whether I should try CoolSculpting because it just sounded too good to be true. I work out consistently, 4 – 5 times a week and eat healthy, however, as everyone out there, I wanted to do something about what I perceived to be a «problem» area. Let’s not pretend – we all have one.
After researching it (obsessively) for a few months, and seeing some real-​life before and afters, I knew it was time. Since the procedure is FDA-​approved without any real known side effects, I felt slightly more at ease. For those that don’t know, CoolSculpting is a non-​invasive treatment for losing stubborn fat areas/​pockets. It’s not a weight loss treatment but best suited for people that are already close to their desired weight. The fat cells are killed via controlled cooling, meaning killing them off with cold and crystallizing them. Once the fat cells are gone and killed off, they are gone for good. From my amateur understanding of fat cells, they grow and shrink every time you gain/​lose weight, which is why it is imperative to continue your fitness régime even after the procedure is done.
But WHERE DOES IT ALL GO?! I was afraid that the fat cells would somehow migrate and creep up on different areas of my body, which did not happen. As they explain it, the fat cells are gradually removed from your body within the next 3 – 6 months by your immune system. I was told that I wasn’t going to see results right away, and they would be more visible after one month. They advertise 20% reduction in the area, which is exactly what happened.
The actual procedure is not painful, but the treatment area will feel numb/​cool. This is not for people that are impatient and that can’t sit still. Beauty is patience. I felt the most pain when treating my inner thighs due to the suction device that treats that specific area. The treatment of the outer thighs was virtually pain free. Each leg is treated one at a time, so four hours total for outer thighs and two hours total for inner thighs. My patience was tried and tested but I made it through. After the procedure, the area felt slightly swollen, cold and tender. This can continue for up to two weeks after the procedure. I wouldn’t recommend working out or doing anything too strenuous right after the procedure. The technician massages the area right after so that the fat cells can «break» and start to leave the body and this can be slightly painful/​uncomfortable.
The BeautyBar team was friendly, nice and professional as usual. The CoolSculpting technician checked up on me continuously and there was even a «panic» button to press in case I needed anything. The Coolsculpting set-​up was pretty great, with a big screen TV that allows you to watch Netflix during your procedure.
Results: YES, this procedure actually worked! I saw results as early as two weeks. It has only been one month and I have lost 1 inch on both my inner/​outer thighs. I will post an update after 3 months and 6 months with my full results.
6 month Update: 6 months after the procedure, 1.5 inches total loss on outer and inner thighs.

this med spa is awesome. I received a hydra facial and medical grade peel and had fantastic results. Teresa was caring and helped me achieve great results with lessening my brown spots and hydrating my skin. my friend also got the cool sculpting and skin tightening and loves her results. Thank you Beauty bar! Ill be back for more medical grade peels on a regular basis to maintain my skin.

Extremely disappointed.
After coming here for laser hair removal for over a year, I went in today and having an amazing experience with their technician, Olga, I was made to sign a new waiver after being told they had a new «doctor». (Funny I didn’t see an md license posted but whatever).
I’m really hoping that the girl that I’m used to does still work there and that she has not been replaced. This was quite likely the worst service that I have ever encountered from any laser technician ever. (I have seen 4 now)
Generally it takes 30 minutes to complete my treatment; I was rushed through in 10 minutes today. There was absolutely zero pain, no pinching, no heat, nothing (despite what you may have heard, this is not how any laser session should go-​especially on coarse hair). Despite being told that I felt nothing, she continued at the level she was using. On top of this, in her haste, she missed half the skin she was supposed to be working with, blasting away at the surrounding air instead as the laser kept lifting up.
I left puzzled and shocked that this level of service would be considered acceptable by anyone.
At this point in time, if service continues in this manner, I will be severing my relationship as a client with them. I really hope this was a one off type of thing.
Completely unacceptable to the point where I am even consider taking a loss on the remaining sessions paid for just to avoid wasting the time needed to invest in hair removal.

This place waters down their botox. They reel you in with a 89 $ special for the first 20 units (you always need more than 20) then they charge 11 $ a unit for the rest– which is fine, IF the botox wasn’t watered down. But it is!
I’ve had botox twice before done by Plastic Surgeons, both times it kicked in within 4 days and lasted an entire 6 months. Botox can last anywhere from 3 – 6 months.
I got my botox at Beauty Bar a few month ago, and I found it odd that the nurse who injected me said that botox never lasts more than 3 months and that if I work out, it leaves your system even faster. Almost like she was prepping me so that in less than 2 months when my botox was GONE I would think it was normal.
Sure enough– the botox took 2 whole weeks to kick in, and even then it wasn’t as «tight» as it should have been. Within less than 8 weeks, the effects of the botox were completely gone.
SCAMMERS. Do not throw your money away here.

I was really unhappy with this place, and I would really recommend people put their hard earned money someplace else.
I purchased a groupon for 6 sessions of laser hair removal. I went to my appointments, seeing some improvement. After my third session, the receptionist prebooked my final two appointments (in 6 week intervals). I went to my 5^th appointment, and the technician advised me that I was a couple of days over the expiration date listed on groupon, and I would have to pay $ 20.00 for the appointment (over and above the price I paid for the groupon). I advised that the expiry date on the groupon is usually for the first visit to be booked by this time (not the full series of visits), however they did not accept that as an answer. I argued that Beauty Bar scheduled my appointments based on their timelines, so they could have advised me of this, or booked all six sessions before the expiry date, but they deliberately did not do this.
I booked my initial visit, immediately after buying the groupon, and Beauty Bar spaced out my appointments per their 6 week structure, however, that means that Beauty Bar knew that for every groupon purchased, there would be no way customers can physically fit in all 6 sessions in their timeline outlined, and will automatically charge the additional cost per visit.
I was exceptionally upset, because they asked me to come in on a different time, after they double booked my appointment, and after accomodating due to their error, they slapped me with a $ 20 charge on top of it. When I asked for a receipt for the additional cost, they said they couldn’t provide me with one. All of these things make me feel like it was an attempt for an additional money grab. I cancelled my last appointment, and didn’t get all of the sessions I was promised, and paid for via groupon.
The customer service was terrible, and I feel like if I could do it over again, I would put my money elsewhere for this service. There was no professionalism or common courtsey. For those considering getting service done at this location, I would highly recommend you don’t. Your head and wallet will thank you.

I got a Buytopia deal to get a Teeth Whitening Treatment at the Yonge and Steeles location. Booked the appointment 3 weeks ahead of time. Confirmed the day before. And when I got there, they said that my appointment was not for that day, but for 3 days later. I meant to do it for my wedding. And 3 days later would be too late. Watch out for the receptionist — get their names and if you can, record the conversations on the phone, so they cannot say things otherwise.

Had my last treatment a couple weeks ago and I can definitely see some visible differences! My underarm hair is all gone, virtually no more hair there! The bikini zone can still use a few more sessions but you can see that there is a clear decrease (about 80%) of hair in the zone. Wow! It does hurt a little tiny bit, but maybe because I have darker hair. I found the last session they took it up to level 10, which is the most potent in laser hair levels. Overall, I think this was a great experience, in 6 sessions, I don’t have to dispose of my underarm hair again! Thank you kind staff of Bellair tan, I think it’s totally worth the investment! Saved me lots in waxing!

I was so scared to visit this location that I almost refunded my Groupon voucher without using it. I decided to give it a try, and I was pleasantly suprised. I was there a little early, and they were able to start me early.
Christine was knowledgable, cheerful and helpful. The location (Yonge and Eg) was clean and easily accessable. I even got free parking close by, and they were able to fit in an evening appoinment.
The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because the receptionist did not tell me how to prepare when I made the appointment, nor did they tell me I needed to print the Groupon, when it says right on the groupon, that I can use the app.

Horrible experience, I got my refund from Groupon today. All of them are so rude, including Alexandria who books the appointments. Would never go back!

This is another thing that is part of my plan not to pay full price for any cosmetic treatment if I can do better with a group buy voucher. I succumbed to the temptation of drastically reduced cost laser vouchers for Beauty Bar Laser clinic and dreamt about saying goodbye to waxing and shaving. The blurb also promised that it was pain free thanks to their Soprano XL laser. Sounded perfect!
Making an appointment had to be done by phone. The website is pretty useless and just a page. They do offer evening appointments though which means it’s possible to fit treatments into a work day. I went with the Yorkville location because it’s handy, and also because I had this idea that it might be their nice location. The girl on the phone was friendly and helpful so I felt pretty confident. Unfortunately they also always confirm appointments by phone so I always miss them (work) and have to call back. Wish they’d text or email.
The first day I arrived I tottered down the steps to the basement location (it’s also Bellair Tan) a bit early. The girl on reception expected me to call out which areas were being treated-​while I stood next to the man waiting beside me. I wasn’t thrilled. I was early and the therapist took me in early. I don’t remember her name, but I do know that the waiting man was her father and he was waiting for her. She brought me into the treatment room which was tiny and had a man’s coat and a handbag hanging on the door. She left me to get undressed and I looked around for towels etc but didn’t see any so went with a kind of semi dressed approach instead. She was pleasant but seemed a bit rushed. The whole thing was over in a few minutes. It was painless but seemed VERY quick. It all seemed really rough and ready.
I saw some results after the first treatment which was encouraging. For the second treatment, I left a lecture early to get there on time… only to end up waiting 20 mins past my appointment time. The girl was different and very sweet. Again it was very quick and was painless. I didn’t notice much of a result though.
The third time was this week. I was warned ahead of time that they had double booked accidentally and that she was running behind. I wasn’t actually waiting that long though. I had a different girl again this time. I’m really sorry I can’t remember her name because she was excellent. Friendly, very thorough and very dedicated to doing her job well. She was generous with towels and made me feel comfortable. She spent much longer on each area making absolutely sure every single bit had been covered. It was more uncomfortable but I’d take that if it means it will actually work. I know I’m paying a discount rate, but it’s still not for free and if I get nothing out of it I’ll be so cross! I was thrilled to hear she’s hoping to stay in the Yorkville location full time. I would be infinitely happier with my treatment with her. They were hovering at a 2 star until that treatment.
I’m left with very mixed feelings. After my first treatment I absolutely couldn’t recommend the place to some friends (the ones with standards) because it seemed to be such a budget experience. I didn’t think they’d appreciate it! My most recent experience was much better though so has dragged it up a little in my estimation. I hope I have the same therapist again. If I do I can recommend it freely. For now, it’s more of a watch this space…
