Beaches Family Practice and Walk-in

Sitting in reception now, been here for hours and have been told multiple times «you’re next» then others get called ahead. All staff seem lazy and uninterested. Brutal.

Not sold on all the doctors here. Really like Dr Desa however; I’m pretty sure he’s new. Reception staff are hit and miss, some are pleasant others not so much. Made an appointment today for 10am and its 10:30 and I’m still waiting. More irritating that walk ins are happening and being seen before me.

It’s my own fault, you’re going to say when reading this.
I had an ear infection in May.
Went to a handy walk-​in clinic in Leslieville (not this one).
Got drops, ear infection went away, but my right ear got clogged behind my ear drum. Don’t get excited, it’s not that Instagram –worthy wax plug that comes out by irrigating it. It’s a fetid pool of fluid BEHIND the drum that is making me deaf.
Went back the same clinic. Got more drops cuz fungus.
Ear still clogged. Went to my family doctor where I should have gone in the first place but no, too lazy, I’m so fucking lazy I deserve to be deaf. It’s now early June. Family doctor referred me to a ENT specialist because my ear is lLITERALLY WHISTLING when I blow my nose. I’d laugh if it was your ear but it’s mine.
I wait a week, finally the referral appointment comes through… it’s for JULY 30. UGH Thanks, Obama, I can’t wait this long. Some lady in my spin class tell me of this clinic I am writing about that will fix ears right on the spot. It happened to her son apparently. The doctor drained his ear and he walked away 10 minutes later like nothing happened.
I go to the clinic, the doctor is nice enough but he says my eardrum is either punctured or clogged. He referred me to their very own ENT specialist who will be in their office June 15, two weeks before my hospital appointment. I am somewhat disappointed but grateful nonetheless.
June 15 rolls around and I run to the appointment.
I am always excited to meet doctors because I have so many questions and I’m so bodily obsessed.
This fucking doctor looked like he came out of a coffin. He was wearing a shiny wrinkly suit from your Chinese gramma’s tickle trunk and he reeked of moth balls. He spoke pigeon English and could not understand my story. He looked in my ear and saw NOTHING… of course he didn’t, he was 200 years old and blind and not even a doctor but some crazy mofo extra from a 1950s horror movie. He filled a syringe of water and that’s when I should have bolted but I was paralyzed with fear. He blasted my ear til water went through my nose and then he looked inside and said: «oh you have a hole there and probably 20 percent hearing loss. But you don’t tell me how it happened so I can’t help you.» I TOLD YOU I GOT AN EAR INFECTION IN MAY. Oh my God. He gave me a prescription of ear drops which I threw away. That was a week ago and my ear and nose are still leaking water. At least I still have my hospital appointment to look forward to.
The upside of being deaf is that I sleep like an angel with y good ear buried in the pillow. White noise is the answer.

If your looking for a quick walk-​in clinic this is your place. I’ve never been here before, but went based on Unilocal reviews. I had two sutures that needed to be taken out, so I went at 9:30 on Monday morning, and within 2 minutes, I was in the doctors office. She took them out with minutes and I was gone. I paid for about an hour of parking yet only used less than 10 minutes.
The office is in an older home/​residence, so it has a musty/​damp smell to it and it feels closed in. From an aesthetic appeal, it wouldn’t be my first choice as a regular doctor, but for a quick clinic visit it was great.

I went here in late May — for the first time because it’s located so close to me — to find out why I was coughing non-​stop for several days; so much so that I couldn’t sleep. The doc told me he thought it was allergies (I don’t have allergies) and prescribed cough medicine for me.
I booked a second opinion with my family doctor and she diagnosed me — correctly — with the whooping cough. Had this doctor (who acted like he was incredibly busy although there was only one other person in the waiting room) actually listened to me instead of thinking the severity of the cough was all in my head, I could have caught the cough sooner and it may not have lasted for 6 weeks. I will never go here for medical care again.

Great (if going to a Dr can ever be considered great) clinic not far from home. Can’t complain.
Sometimes the walk-​in clinic can get busy, but its a walk-​in clinic. You will wait a heck of alot longer if you go to the hospital.
Had pleasent experiences with both my kids. Friendly Drs who were quite and understood the challenges of having a sick kid on your lap waiting.
Everytime I have been its a pretty quick in and out. Short and sweet. If that is what you are looking for, check it out.
If you are the type to come to the Dr and want to chat about the weather and how the teller at the bank looked at you funny, you might want to move along. They run a well-​oiled machine here.

Ive been going here for 6 months or so for myself and daughter. There are a few ok doctors and a few with typical god complex attitudes. There’s usually a very long wait. the receptionists aren’t friendly and the place is not overly clean. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I don’t want to tell anyone about this clinic because I want to keep it a secret for myself.

Weekdays 9 – 5 (Tuesdays 9 – 7)
Saturdays — 9 – 12
I walked in here on a Saturday at around 1000, I was the only one waiting, I barely sat down before it was my turn and I was out in 15m.
Green P lot on the north side of Hammersmtih and it’s only $ 2 /​hr.
They also have a small pharmacy and do blood work here. WTF? How is it not lined up out the door?
