Established in 2012.
Manuel Da Costa, avô (grandfather) to James Toste (part-owner of «AVO»), was an inspiring influence in the kitchen, and in life. From the island of Terceira, Manuel taught his children and his grandchildren all about the flavours of Portugal, and family recipes that respected the art of combining simple and fresh ingredients to create immense mouth-watering flavours. James Toste’s passion for Portuguese culinary artistry fuelled his desire to travel to Portugal, to research, develop, and explore Portuguese cuisine in order to carry on the tradition of feeding people delicious Portuguese food!
