Ash Guitar Repairs

I’ve taken 3 guitars to Ash for set ups and fret work and I’ve always been impressed with his work. He does not need to tell anyone how passionate he is about guitars or his work because his actions and results speak for that.
He’ll take as much time as necessary before and after the repair to make sure it’s done right and the result is what you want it to be. 100% recommend!

The only guitar tech on kijiji I will recommend as that is where I met him. My experience with him he’s very fast, competitive prices that he understands that he won’t get rich over night like the rest of the guitar techs on kijiji. He does just about everything. He’s worked on 5 – 10 of my guitars and is an absolute perfectionist and will see the other stuff wrong with the guitar (s). I brought my first guitar in for a fret leveling and he crowned them, completely dis-​assembled the floyd rose (tremolo) and cleaned it. In the end the guitar played better than brand new. He could have just leveled the frets and did a setup and moved onto the next guitar but didn’t. He’s knowledgeable, can meet deadlines like if you got a show tomorrow he’ll have the guitar set up for you. He treats every customer the same so regardless if you bring in a hand crafted 8 string or just want a simple pickup swap he treats you the same.
if you want overpriced go to 12^th fret or wait the 1 – 2 weeks from long and mcquade minimum. These are instruments to make music not investments if dents bother you keep the guitar in the case or learn to wet sand.

Knowledgeable, personable, patient. Highly recommended. I just needed something very simple done– a strap peg on an acoustic with a bolt on neck. Ash took the care to work with me to confirm the manufacturers info on exactly where to place the peg and confirmed it with magnets as well. Even the drill angle was discussed at length. He was very personable and friendly and obviously passionate about guitars and all their nitty gritty nuances. Highly recommended and located in a great spot for those in or around Uptown.

I tried all of the usual music stores to set up my newly purchased electric guitar but all seemed to quote unusually long turn around times I called Ash, brought in the guitar, he sized up the work required, gave me a price — which was significantly lower than that of the major outlets, and an estimated turn around time of 3 or 4 business days. He met his commitments and the guitar plays like a dream. No buzzing and great intonation. I’d definitely go to Ash again.
