History

Established in 2000.

In 1985 our Senior Partner, Bronwen Hann, founded The Pinstripe Group of Companies and built it from the ground up into Canada’s largest independent staffing firm employing over 1400 temporary and contract staff daily. After selling to a multinational, she decided to channel her expertise into a much more specialized vertical. She turned her hand to senior-​level recruitment and founded Argentus Supply Chain Recruiting in 2008 as a boutique recruitment firm. Some of Bronwen’s most valued clients and mentors pointed her in the direction of the booming and extremely underserviced recruiting areas of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, and operations.

Things were different when I joined the recruitment business 30 years ago. When I started Pinstripe, email didn’t exist. By the time I grew it into Canada’s largest independent staffing firm and sold to a multinational in 1997, the Internet and social media were taking off. Recruitment was becoming faster, more mobile, more strategic.

The big thing I’ve learned is that the way to thrive is to adapt.

10 years ago, I consulted with senior business leaders to find out which industries will be most important to the 21^st century, and they pointed me to Supply Chain. I built Argentus, a niche recruitment firm in the high-​growth area of Supply Chain and its related functions: Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics, Planning and Transformation. I set out to educate myself about this industry, and forge long-​term relationships to understand what makes great Supply Chain professionals successful.
