Ilona Reece is hands down the kindest, most attentive and talented stylist I’ve met. I’ve finally met my go to hair stylist. After tirelessly searching for someone experienced with curly hair and several appointments of leaving salons a little let down, I found Ilona’s instagram profile and decided to book with her for a cut and style. I am SO glad that I did. She is a curly hair expert, I have no doubts about it by the way she talked and handled my hair. I asked for her to get rid of my dead ends and to add in a layer since I wanted to add some shape and dimension to my curls. She did exactly what I asked and made sure I was comfortable with the length she was cutting off before doing so, and my hair turned out even better than I’d hoped it would! I ended up having my hair blown out in a beach wave style (By the way, she is AMAZING with the flat iron) and she suggested that next time I come in, I get my hair styled curly so she can show me different products that would work for my hair. If you’re a curly girl and you’re hesitating on whether or not to book with her, DON’T! You will not regret it. My hair feels luxurious and healthy and I just can’t boast enough about her since this is the first time I’ve found someone who understands my hair and is also incredibly nice. The whole salon gives off a very warm welcoming vibe. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

This salon is the best! Robin Barker does my hair and it’s always great. I trusted him to cut off all my long hair and got a cute textured bob. Adorable. Also had great colour done by Christine!

My sister recommended Anthony, and having been to him a couple of times now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been with my hair! Anthony does a phenomenal job — and I love that he takes the time to not only discuss options that would work for me (based on my style and preference) but also teach me styling tips/​tricks that I could do. My last hair cut was 4 weeks ago, and I still get compliments on it!

My hair was texturised, coloured and cut by Ilona Reece for the first time. Her warmth and inviting demeanour was spot on with that of the salon’s environment. Her knowledge of black natural hair is extensive which made me feel very secure to allow her to take care my me & my hair. Her passion for hair is evident in the her words & her actions! I found this salon on Unilocal based on the great reviews and my experience was amazing here. I called in last minute because I needed a haircut and I was very impressed. They were available for me to come in right away. I got my hair cut my Ilona and she was very friendly and gave me great advice on my hair. She cut my hair and it turned out amazing. She gave me a great clean blunt bob and I absolutely loved her services. She is great with cutting my hair and styling it. I really recommend Ilona you will not be disappointed! The salon itself was in a nice location in Yorkville very easy to get to and is right at bay station. It is a nice atmosphere inside & clean. Definitely give it a try!

I’ve been seeing Anthony for a couple years now and trust him completely with my hair! When I tried to book him and he was unavailable he recommended Christina. Although always hesitant when someone new colours my hair I decided to see her. She was absolutely amazing. Listened to my requests completely and gave me a colour that far exceeded my expectations. Not only was she good at what she does but she was so pleasant to talk to!
I cannot stress how important it is for a hairstylist to listen to what you want. I’ve been to way too many salons where they shut your requests down and you end up leaving disappointed. This is not the case at the Anthony Passero Salon. Always the best salon experience!

I am so happy I made the decision to come here. I was referred here from a friend I work with. I had my appointment with Shellianne (hope I spelled her name correctly) and you can tell right away she knows her stuff! Very passionate about what she does and it show.
She is really in tuned with natural hair and leaves your hair feeling fabulous!
It’s very hard to find a salon that does not shy away from doing different hair types such as mine however I was really impressed with my stylist along with the overall atmosphere of the salon. Will definitely be coming back! Thanks a bunch Shellianne!

Christopher is the best! He is always in tune with the latest trends and fashion and makes sure that my hair is always healthy and looking great. His colorist skills are AMAZING! I highly recommend you give him a try — he is AWESOME!

Anthony cuts all the stars’ hair, including mine. Can’t say enough nice things about the guy, his staff, or his ability to give someone a professional and top-​tier cut n’ style.
