Ana Nail Boutique

Went to Ana’s for a pedicure and I showed them a picture of bio-​nails that I liked on Pinterest while we were there. The ladies encouraged me to come back the next day to achieve the same look from the photo. So I did! When I got there I was treated abruptly and rudely by my nail tech and told that she’s unskilled and so she’s unable to do that particular design but that I’d have to «ask» the other girl who’d done my pedicure art if she would do it… Then when I was about to actually ask I was told sharply that she was «with a client,» mind u she was sitting a foot away and she could have simply replied promptly. Eventually I did «ask» and that nail tech said, «NO.» …I was expected at the appointed time, and by both of those ladies as they’d encouraged me to make this appointment. Needless to say I left completely disappointed without any nail art and not only that, my nail tech did a shoddy job, pushed me into a colour that didn’t work for me and took so much of my time dragging out the process by doing it ass backwards. It took her almost TWO hours of my time and my cuticles were left a mess. Yeah I won’t bother going out of my way to pay them my hard earned money again.

This place is okay. Three and a half to four stars, maybe. You can get a reasonable mani/​pedi here. Don’t expect anything fancy. More details below.
Pros:
— It seems cleaner than many of the other mani/​pedi places I’ve been to. (And I actually saw the employees cleaning the basins.)
— It seems they have a good selection of OPI colours.
— The actual mani/​pedi is reasonably good.
— The prices are fair.
Cons:
— Like most other nail places, not really a «spa» experience – just a place with tacky mani/​pedi stations and plinking piano CD, nothing fancy at all about it.
— Like most other nail places, the array of chemicals is staggering, starting with the dark blue stuff they put in the pedi water (reminiscent of toilet bowl cleaner; I’m guessing it’s some kind of disinfectant).
— Like many other nail places, the employees speak with each other in their native language, which makes things awkward. Let me be honest: I always feel thoroughly disliked at these places.
— The foot «massage» is just a bit of half-​hearted rubbing. For the price, I understand this.
Anywho, I got some reasonable-​looking nails out of it, for a reasonable price. I’ll come back here and gripe if everything chips off in a day or two.

I love in Berkeley, California, and I was in Toronto for work. I needed to refresh my pedicure, so I made a same day apt (I called at 12:30 and got a 1:30 apt). I had to wait a bit, but it was worth it. The technician spent over an hour on foot care, and this was the basic pedicure, and then did an expert job on applying the color. I have to say, this was the best pedicure I have ever gotten! I will return to Ana’s when I am in town for sure.

I’ve gone to Ana’s about 3 – 5 times and basically always get a pedicure and shellac mani.
I’m so sorry because I can’t remember names to save my life but the same girl has always done my pedicure– she is younger and wears glasses, pretty. She always does an amazing job and OMG her leg and foot massages… seriously hands of a god! Lol the first time I went I was getting a migraine and her foot massage made it disappear which is next to impossible for me.
The same woman has also always done my mani! Can’t remember her name but is a little older and doesn’t wear glasses. She is amazing and a total perfectionist when it comes to your cuticles and the polish or shellac. I have nice long nails in my own and she always says she loves my nails because she doesn’t have to shape for days and they aren’t bitten down. I find nail techs never notice I take care of them and have nice nails– they always want to fix them… she in the other hand acknowledges it which is so sweet!
I’ve never had an issue booking with Ana either. I mean I’ve gotten the answering machine but Ana always calls back within 30 – 40 mins at the latest. I book the day off (call at 11 and come in for 4,5 or 6). She is always accommodating. Sometimes I wait 10 – 20 mins past my appt time but I know when I get my nails done that people are late before me, they say they want a mani and end up getting acrylic, someone messes up their nails and they have to be fixed ect. I understand that stuff so I don’t care. If you want a place that is 100% always on time then to to a high end spa– not a nail salon– a spa and pay $ 70 for a shellac mani. I’ve worked in those spas and when a client is late and we are booked back to back, they miss out in the extras that take more time or whatever to keep everyone on time or a manager has to step in and do some nails.
Ana’s is great and all her ladies are amazing and do a great job. Ana knows they speak their native language but she tries to always speak to her client and include all the clients in on the conversation. She does well and deserves all her great clients :) price is on point as well for what you have– my shellac lasts 15 days and so does my pedi… pretty good id say!

This place is by far the best I’ve found. I trust my eyelashes to no one else. I’ve been coming here for a year. Great staff. Always trying to accommodate to your needs, will squeeze you in where ever she can.
Ana herself is amazing.
Some might find it a little pricy, but truly you get what you pay for. Not one single complaint for these guys.

In Sum:
For the money I spend here, I’m happy with what I get. Close to home, nice employees, pleasant environment. Big fan of Ana and Lami (I’m sure I misspelled that – sorry!).

I love this place. They always do such a great job and it’s very relaxing. I suggest going in the morning on a early weekday as they are very busy. Their colour selection is wonderful

I went to this place for the first time and was very pleasantly impressed with the overall cleanliness of the place. All the stuff were very friendly and courteous. My nails (old gel removal + shellac with french) was done by Ana. She did a great job and gave me a few tips.
What I also liked a lot is that Ana tried her best to keep appointments on time and did not take walk-​in clients when other clients with bookings were about to show up (unlike many other salons do and make you wait over 30 mins even if you had a booking done in advance).
Overall, great service! I will be coming back and confidently recommend this place to others!

the best, sometimes they overbook, Ana tries to make everybody happy, try to pin her down, just to make sure.
The girls that work here, are outstanding, and the place is so clean.
