A lot of merchandise here is way too overpriced for what it is. The lace lingerie for girls is too delicate and can fall apart easily and the plain shirts shrink way too much. Leotards, knee/thigh high socks are my favorites here, and girls, the nail polishes here are amazing! They have a ton of cool colors that are rich, have great staying power and their formaldehyde, DBP, and toluene free. I don’t know how much each bottle costs but they have an $ 18 deal if you buy three!

I recently purchased a deal on Buytopia for their circle scarf and nail polish, otherwise I would not purchase any of their over priced clothes. They have a nice selection of nail polish from glittery colors to neon colors to glow-in-the-dark colors! With the deal of $ 10 for four nail polish of your choice, I anxiously gave myself a manicure that night. Well, the color is fantastic! The brush is very small and can be hard to apply on the nails. The polish is also very thick, so no need for double coating! I’m a fan of their circle scarves, but only the ones that aren’t cotton solid colors because come on, those are just plain fabric sewed into a circle(totally not worth $ 36.00). I usually go for the acid wash colors, that have patterns — now that’s worth $ 19 with the Buytopia deal. I really want their earmuffs, but can’t bring myself to spend $ 23.00 on them. I think I’ll be able to find one that’s not made of plastic on the top for a similar price. Lastly, I want to point out that their service is horrible. The girls working there were complaining right in front of me how their hours suck, and bad mouthing their manager for screwing up everyone’s work schedule. Then the cashier grumbled about the Buytopia deals, telling me that these coupons are so much trouble to process. I would suggest going to another location if you don’t want to be in a negative shopping environment with disgruntled employees who do not even attempt to make your shopping experience enjoyable.

I know it looks like I give a lot of 4 stars — but I’m currently having a little love affair with american apparel. Who knew cotton could be so(comfy, sexy and fab?!?) I had a lovely experience at this location. The staff was real

I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, but goddam American Apparel hates overweight females. Overweight men, on the other hand, are OK. Their newer line of clothes are unbelievably ugly. The 80s crop tops and pleated, high-waisted trousers are cut in such an unflattering way that only an anorexic 12 year old could look good in them. And even then she would look a bit pudgy. I only go in there to snag the Vice magazine and scurry out before I offend anyone.
