Jilbert gives good service some of the time. When he is good, he is still usually late, but helpful. The problem is, every once in a while, he just disappears and can’t be reached for weeks at a time, leaving the customer in a very disadvantaged situation. I have known him a long time, and in the beginning I was satisfied, but the last two times were bad.

My Macbook Pro suddenly crashed. Instead of waiting to book a genius appointment at the apple store I came here based on the great reviews. The two brothers running the store are awesome! Very nice guys, great prices, happily answered the many questions I had… and honestly did so without trying to sell me anything. I got a brand new hard drive and decided to add more memory and it was done early the next day. When I went to pay they had knocked off 20 bucks without me even asking, and patiently answered all my questions about cleaning my laptop. Jilbert even offered to clean it for free next time I want to bring it in.
All in all — I would very highly recommend this place. Great prices. Very friendly and very knowledgable. And they finish everything a lot faster than at the apple store.

Spilled water on my MacBook Air so I found All About Mac and decided to give them a try. My suspicion was that only my battery needed to replaced since it worked when plugged into a power source, so they opened up my laptop, installed a test battery and verified that my suspicion was correct. They offered to replace the battery, but they suggested waiting 2 – 3 weeks before replacing the battery in case anything else goes wrong due to water damage. I thought that’s a good idea so I waited.
So far so good.
After 3 weeks when I was ready to replace my battery, they just refused to return my calls. I got through to them once and they said they’d order the battery, but never ended up calling to say it arrived. I kept trying to call them (I desperately needed a functional laptop again), but I never heard from them again.
I’m torn in this review because they were super friendly and helpful in-​store, but had absolutely zero follow through after initially meeting them.

This little family business run by brothers Jilbert and Jeffrey is a solid choice for mac computer repairs. When my hard drive failed and I needed to recover data, the staff at the Apple store at Yorkdale mall recommended Jilbert, who used to work at the genius bar there. I found him to be a bit aloof and constantly out of the office (he does a lot of on-​site work), but Jeffrey (a graphic designer) was able to cover for him for the most part. Overall they were both compassionate and professional, they got the job done (although it took over a week), and I found their price of $ 300 to be a bargain. I’m not sure what to expect in terms of a final product for this kind of work — certainly, they left me a lot of work in terms of sorting the recovered files from those that were in my backup — but overall I’m happy with the service that they provided.

These guys are super professional and very quick.
This store opened maybe two years ago in this neighbourhood. Luckily for me, I haven’t had a need for their services until now.
I brought over my computer Sunday afternoon and had it back for Monday evening. To be fair, not much needed to be fixed. It turns out that I will have to get a new computer as the one I’m currently using is dying. This is the thing about Macs. When they work, they work spectacularly. When they fail, they just DIE.
Jilbert, the resident Mac tech recommended I just bite the bullet and get a new/​old mac. He went over the cost of fixing it, compared with the cost of a refurbished mac (which they sell). He showed me a near-​mint mac he’s reselling and told me that it comes with a one-​year warranty, plus it’s newer and faster than what I have now. He also recommended I check out the Apple refurb website to compare.
So now I’m waiting for his call to tell me when he has a couple that are ready to sell.
I was really happy with his professionalism and transparency. And being someone who can’t buy a new mac, I like the idea of getting one with a warranty, from a bricks and mortar shop that I can drop in to if anything goes wrong (I refuse to step into an Apple store ever again).
