Driving from Toronto to Montréal on Canada Day I was pleased to see that What a Bagel was open, since I was craving a bagel as I started the long drive. They had a variety of bagel that I had not seen before – pumpernickel with sesame – so I ordered that with chive cream cheese to take away. As I waited for it to be ready I caught sight of the other baked goods, including some rugelach and mandelbrot, so I got a few of those to take along, too, and an «everything» pretzel, too. The bagel was very good, though perhaps a bit softer than a Montréal bagel would be. But the rugelach were unassailable, especially the chocolate ones, very friable and tender, and would have been great with a good cup of coffee. The pretzel was very good, too, made out of bagel dough rather than pretzel dough. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I love What A Bagel bagels, they are so delicious so this place is no exception. The employees who work here are very friendly as well. The reason why this location gets only 3 stars the low variety of bagels and pastries they carry. I come to What A Bagel for their chocolate chip and blueberry bagels but they don’t carry those flavours. They also didn’t have many other kinds as well, I left feeling really disappointed.

Good bagles. Bomb Rugelach. Can’t really say much, I don’t stay to eat. I just get my stuff and go. But the Rugelach brings me back to when Hazelton Lanes made them when I was younger.

What’s more enjoyable than having some baked goods inside What A Bagel while you can smell the aroma of more baked goods coming fresh out from the oven! One might not find a lot of treats or sweets here compare to the other ones I been to. but what I love about this location is it is really spacious and have a dozen of seats if you decide to stay here and enjoy their products! BTW, I am surprise the coffee($ 1.50) here is quite decent. Those sweet really needs to be balanced with a black coffee!

YUMMY bagels and baked goods! They have these amazing Borakas(sp?) with cheese and olives, spinach, plain cheese, croissants, you name it. All fresh. I was very impressed with the quality, prices and the cleanliness!
