Summary: Nice hotel if you need a full kitchen + breakfast included

Opportunities: The place and breakfast is very mediocre — nothing special; late check out is 2pm which is much earlier than other places — 4pm.
Hit: 95% of the time taking stairs will be quicker than waiting for an elevator;
Details: In general, I like this hotel because of many reasons that I wrote in Positives. We have stayed there many times and 90% of the time we had a good experience. Working personnel is always hospitable and kind. They are also flexible with early «check in» in case you ended up there earlier than 3pm. We usually book a studio, which is big enough for 2 people. I always check this hotel first and book it if they have a decent price.

Great Hotel Great place to stay!

Very disappointed with my stay. This used to be my favorite hotel, but not anymore. The beds that we had in our room is too soft, and the sofa bed is close to broken, the elastic part is literally on my back. We ended up slept on the floor. I dont think i will come back here again. The quality gone down so much

I stayed here for about a week with my family. We requested early check-​in, and they told us they would see what they could do because they were fully booked and very busy. We got there before the standard check-​in time, and they told us the room wasn’t ready yet. This wasn’t that big of a deal since they informed us in advance of the situation. When the standard check-​in time finally rolled around, we asked them again for an update. The lady at the front desk said our room was still not ready and that she would let us know when we could go to our suite… We didn’t hear from her until a full hour later (one hour after the standard check-​in time). We were offered 500 of their hotel points as consolation for waiting (which is the equivalent of like $ 5).
Our suite had 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed and 2 full beds), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room (sofa bed included). The suite was very clean and spacious. We had 1 TV in each of the separate rooms (3 total). The TV in the living room was awful. The sound was very out of whack, and it was impossible to watch anything without subtitles. The other TVs were fine. The wireless internet connection was decent. I got disconnected once in a while, but it wasn’t bad at all compared to some of the other hotels I’ve been to. The beds were all comfortable and up to standard. The bathrooms were fine except one of the showers seemed to have reversed plumbing or something. Scalding hot water would be the first thing to come out instead of cold water. Their fitness room is average. They had a set of dumbbells that went up to 50 lbs, a few treadmills, and a few ellipticals. The fitness room was connected to a section with multiple washers and dryers. From what I heard, a few of the washers and dryers were defective. Still, I think having a free washer and dryer available is a pretty nice amenity to offer in general. The hotel also offered a complimentary breakfast every morning. I went to this one time, and it’s basically what you would expect. It was essentially a cafeteria-​food quality buffet, but it’s hard for me to complain too much about something that’s free.
Overall, our stay here was acceptable, and I wouldn’t mind coming back. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement, but I thought the price we paid was worth it.

Excellent suites for extended stay. Stayed here for a week and am very satisfied with the clean and spacious suites, daily housekeeping, big pillows, location and the staff. Love the Wolfgang Puck coffee that they provide in the suite, one of the best I’ve had among a lot of different hotel chains. The suite has a fully-​equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove and a fridge. Excellent value for money, will definitely consider this place next time.

This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. We came to Toronto for a wedding. Our group had about a dozen rooms rented. You’d think this might warrant some special attention. Here’s what we got… Checked into our room around 6 pm on a hot summer night. Turned on the AC and went out to hang out with family and then on to dinner. We returned around 10 pm to find our room baking. Called down the next morning to report the problem. A few hours later we had a mechanical team in the room working on the compressor while we were changing into our wedding clothes (in a very hot room). OK. Mechanical equipment breaks, but it turns out my uncle had checked into the same room over 24 hours earlier and asked to be moved because the AC wasn’t working. Rather than fix the problem in the ensuing 24 hours, they stuck us in the room and waited for us to complain.
When the bride and groom contacted the hotel about reserving a block of rooms for the wedding, they were informed of an upcoming renovation that would be completed in May — no problem for the July wedding. When we showed up in July, the place was a full on construction zone — complete with banging noises at 7:30 am and elevators hijacked for moving construction materials.
I could go on, but in summary, the place was very poorly run. To its credit, the staff was friendly and courteous and the rooms were clean. I’ll grudgingly give them one star for that.

Just came back from a 3 night stay over July 4^th week and it was a terrible experience. We’ve stayed in many different hotels but this is clearly the worst. Definitely will not be back.
The condition of the suite clearly warrants the need for construction. Bathroom floor tiles were wobbly and seem unsafe for a hotel.
Construction was going on the entire time and the fact that hotel management allows contractors to start work before 8am while guests are still resting is totally unacceptable. We were told at check in that there would be minor inconvenience like water shutting off for an hour every day, but we did not expect that a crew of contractor would start drilling right above our hotel room before 8am while we were trying to sleep.
It took us 3 tries to get toilet paper. First the housekeepers didn’t replenish the toilet paper when they did ‘housekeeping’ (though the bed was made). When we called the front desk, they told us to come and get it ourselves. Ok?~! But we did anyways. When we showed up at the front desk, staff was unable to locate the toilet paper, so sent us back to our room emptyhanded and told us he’d send someone to bring the toilet paper to our room. We’re not asking for anything extravagant, it’s a roll of toilet paper… for crying outloud. How can such a poorly managed hotel stays in business is totally beyond me…

Only place we could book a suite when we wanted it, but it was right in the vicinity that we were hoping to be, so it was good.
+ located in the back of a residential area of sorts, so it is quiet and off the main drag
— construction going on next door: a big pit so not the best view, but at least they weren’t working when we were «in»
+ breakfast included with a make your own waffles station!
— eggs were probably either poured from a carton or rehydrated… all we know is that they weren’t freshly cracked from the shell
+ when we phoned about the VCR, help came to our door within the half hour
+ free wi-​fi available, although it was slow
+ tv in each bedroom as well as in the living room
— no rollaway beds if you are wanting them
+ yes hairdryer and iron & ironing board
