L F Optical North

My family and friends have been buying eye glasses and sunglasses here for years. The staff are patient, helpful and friendly. Taly spent a lot of time helping me find the best pairs of eyeglasses and sunglasses. She kept pulling out other frames until she found ones that she thought suited me. Then when she narrowed it down to about 3 pairs of each type (regular & sun), she called over a coworker or two to get their opinions. I was not rushed at all. I would highly recommend shopping here for whatever type of glasses you need. Thank you Taly and all of the staff at the centre street location for all of your help! Great experience!!!

I could not be less impressed by L F Optical North. I have been shopping around for glasses for a few weeks, so I’ve learned what to expect in regards to service and selection. While L F had many familiar name brands like Ray Ban, Dior, Chanel and Hugo Boss, I found many of the styles to be outdated.
The worst part was the service. It felt as if I was inconveniencing the staff. After looking at about 10 pairs, the girl told me I was «so picky» that I’d «never find glasses». I felt as if the first girl was so frustrated with me that another one came over and quickly tried to show me two pairs I had already tried on. The second girl, in an overly sales pitch manner, says «I really like those one you». It could not have come across more fake. I may not have been the quickest and easiest customer, but the staff really had no patience for someone to shop for glasses… they made it seem like it should take me 5 minutes.
Needless to say, I didn’t walk out with frames so I cannot comment on the lenses.

I heard about the phenomena that is L F Optical from plenty of friends.
However, I did not understand all of this hype until I visited this optical store tonight with my best friend to pick out new frames.
L F Optical gets a capital A for AMAZING in my books!
The place is lined with shelves and drawers of frames and sunglasses! I am being serious when I say I was just shocked by the amount of inventory they had.
They carry every up-​to-​date style of frame and all of the hottest sun shades.
Here is just a sample of some of the designers they carry:
— Prada (also Prada’s affiliate brand Miu Miu)
— Chanel
— Burberry
— Armani (both Giorgio and Emporio)
— Ralph Lauren
— Perry Ellis
— Dior
— Ray Ban
— Hugo Boss
I could go on for a while with the long list of designers they carry.
And if they do not carry a style you are seeking they will always offer to order in the frame or pair of sunglasses that you want.
Like other optical stores, glasses and sunglasses are not sold for a small penny but at least you are guaranteed high quality merchandise with the trendy side of wearing a hot designer.
The only thing to warn is that this place is SUPER BUSY during the evenings and they close early on Fridays (3pm) and are not opened on Saturdays.
They also have a location further south if you do not wish to venture to Thornhill.
