We are now going into our sixth year of offering lessons at Guitar Shack and have been growing every year. We have expanded our offering from just guitar lessons to bass, drums, piano, ukulele, violin, and vocal lessons. We take pride in our qualified teachers and look forward to teaching you something new and exciting each time you come in for a lesson. Guitar Shack has always been a strong advocate of teaching you what you want to learn, whether it’s a specific song, reading tabs, a guitar solo or just theory. The most important thing to us is that you leave having learned something new and have fun! Come in and see us, we look forward to meeting you. We are also happy to come to your home to teach lessons, as well!

History

Established in 2005.

Guitar Shack started as a little booth in the Steeles West Flea Market, starting off with only a dozen or so guitars. It was so successful that we opened our first store just north of Toronto, and we just expanded from there! After being in our first store for several years, we decided to move to an even bigger and better one. We have over 200 guitars in stock, with brand names such as Yamaha, Ibanez, Sigma, Ovation, Takamine, and much more!

Originally just giving guitar lessons, we now give drums, bass guitar, vocal, ukulele, and violin lessons, too. Our teachers are all masters at their trade and can get you playing like a pro in no time!

Joe is the owner and founder of Guitar Shack. He’s a passionate guitarist who always wanted to bring music to the community. With support from his family and friends, his dream evolved into the friendly music store we know today!
