Ethan Allen

I purchased an iron coffee table from Ethan Allen in Thornhill. White spots began to appear all over the iron table but were most pronounced under the glass table top. I contacted our designer/​sales rep and was subsequently contacted by someone whose first words were «Your table is out of warranty, but we will send someone to have a look.» The service person did nothing except try to clean the white spots with a wet paper towel. The marks did not come off because they are etched into the metal. The service person said that something was eating away at the table. Almost two weeks passed and I heard nothing so I followed up with the designer/​sales rep. She told me that their Head Office had rejected the claim. I bought Ethan Allen furniture because it was considered quality furniture «heirloom» furniture. That reputation is long gone. The quality is poor and the customer service non-​existent. I understand that Ethan Allen furniture is no longer made in the United States but is off shore merchandise that is poorly made. I would never purchase from Ethan Allen again.
