I picked up my new car (and first VW) from the team at White Rock VW a couple weeks back. The purchasing procedure was flawless (I had a remaining lease that needed taking care of, etc… not as simple as a normal trade in) and every detail that we agreed upon was met and handled perfectly.
When I went to pick up the new car, everything was ready. all the paper work, insurance, … everything… flawless to the time I was handed the keys and drove away. Great buying experience!
Tony was my sales rep and he followed up when we started taking about the deal … made sure everything was bang on and structure the deal to make it work! He has followed up a few times after delivery to make sure everything is 100%. Very appreciated! Rocky took care of the business side of things and he was great to work with too! Everything on the business side was handled exactly the we talked about it when doing the deal.

Atrocious shuttle pickup service on multiple occasions. When you drop off your vehicle, make sure your day isn’t booked with anything more important than… Well… Waiting for a shuttle to arrive.

Three weeks ago we purchased a new car at white rock VW. The reason for choosing this dealership was the price for the vehicle, we agreed for a lower price than at the other locations that are much more closer to us.
On the day of our car delivery we noticed a coffee spill in the salon — very disappointing for a brand new car, after informing the staff member they cleaned it and added that they have no control over this due to the cars being delivered to the dealership by a third party.
At the time of signing the papers we were offered additional insurance similar to a loan protector — to which we mistakenly agreed. Three days later we realized there is no need to keep it — so we called the dealership and spoke with their financial manager who sold it — the answer was we could NOT cancel it till the car is fully paid out. We could not believe it so we called the insurance company who politely explained the procedure — it is cancelable, but dealerships getting their commission out of it!
Another thing, important as well, the price — of course, trusting people at the dealership, (our mistake was not to ask questions) we signed the contract for a larger amount that was agreed to. The dealerships must be super detailed while explaining what they mean by TOTAL cost, including their fees…
But the most disappointing thing is our meeting with their GM — who was rude, very negative towards us and the feeling we’ve got — we were kicked off from his office. For coffee spill he just said that «I am nitpicking, not a big deal, we cleaned this plastic for you», not a word of apology. I am buying a car, a brand new car, not a pair of Prada shoes.
When we came to the numbers he preferred not to see the additional paper we had, even though it did not have any value as they said, he declined it with his hand saying «don’t even want to look into this». And that’s ok, we customers can be wrong at times too, but the attitude from the top manager is completely unacceptable towards the customers.
We asked a question about insurance — why you guys did not tell us the truth about insurance? He abruptly said that «nobody lied to you», maybe, but your employees don’t tell the truth either!
Too bad, there is no way we can return the car, though the car is great, but what makes a big difference is the people who sell, they create our experience and pleasure of buying a brand new car.
If your customers speak with an accent that does not mean you can treat them that way, or they are stupid, every word and movement of the person we spoke with showed us his negativity and irritation with us.
Very very disappointing — we are planning to use this car for a few years, and unfortunately it will always remind us of the bitter customer service experience.

Worst automotive technicians! Took my car in for a routine oil change. I went back to pick up my car and everything seemed fine. The next day i go to start my car and it seems to be misfiring. I pop the hood and i see this massive screwdriver on top of the engine block. I take it off thinking this might be making the big vibration but it was not. so i take the car back to the dealership. The gentleman at the front desk makes me sign a document agreeing that i need to pay $ 99 just for them to have a look at the vehicle which is absurd. after they check it they tell me that one of the spark plugs they had changed was a dud. what kind of technicians change the spark plugs and don’t realize the car is misfiring even when they supposedly say they take it for a road test to make sure everything is working before they hand it back to the customer!!!
Also they were supposed to rotate my tires as it is a front wheel drive car. but for some reason they decided to only rotate the tires on the drivers side and now my car makes this annoying thumping noise because the tires are uneven. The technicians at this dealership have no idea what they are doing.
Do not bring your vehicle there or it will leave in worse condition then when you took it in!

Went to look at a used car. Seemed nice but was priced well over market value for no apparent reason (and, no, a 120 point inspection by a VW mechanic should not add thousands to a vehicle price, thankyouverymuch!). I didn’t think salespeople at dealerships still played the «I’m on your side and will appeal to the manager on your behalf… so sorry, he can’t budge on the price at all» game. To top it off, they offered less than a third of market value for a trade-​in.
When I bought a new vehicle at a different dealership, the manager was at least honest enough to say I’d get a far better price for my trade-​in selling privately on Craigslist instead of the amount they could offer. Here it seems they’d rather argue over why their rip-​off pricing is fair than give you an honest opinion.
Overall a nice looking place but they need to get with the times and realize that consumers are able to do their own research ahead of time and can see through their BS 1980s used car salesman tactics. Know your firm pricing ahead of time or, better yet, save yourself the headache and just go elsewhere.
