Tobiko Sushi 3

Finally! More variety in the Campbell Heights area! Up until now the sushi options were Brookswood, Murrayville, or down into Langley City so this is a great addition to the area.
The chain must be doing something right and they must have quite a following as this is their third restaurant. The restaurant space is cozy and clean. It doesn’t really differ from other hole-​in-​the-​wall sushi establishments around town, so there’s not big surprise there. The food is good and the price is about on par for the quantity and quality that you get. This was my first trip to the restaurant as they were just recently listed on Google Maps (we haven’t received a mail-​out menu and when I drive by it isn’t really opportune for me to take restaurant notes to remember later).
I picked up the Goma-​ae, Agedashi Tofu, Cone Combo and Sexy Dragon. Everything was tasty and fresh and the portion sizes, although nothing to write home about, were filling. The Sexy Dragon, being a special roll, I thought was a bit undersized. I was so friggen hungry and forgot to take pictures, but it was just slightly larger than a Toonie… not so hot for the price when in relation to the rest of the meal, but we live and learn.
Would I go back? Yes… but mostly because they’re the only game in the area. If I had the time to drive down into Langley I would do that before hitting here. But in a pinch they hit the spot.

This little sushi place just opened up in an industrial area that desperately needed some variety. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant itself is on the smaller end but I just make sure not to arrive in the thick of the lunch rush. I usually only order rolls and various bowls, but since I work nearby, I’ll likely try more of the menu. Pro tip: If you’re on a tight lunch break call ahead and place your order so that you can eat in or take out as soon as you walk through the door.
