Came last month for dine-out. It was my first time coming for the dine out menu, but my boyfriend has come every year for the last few years. I’m so glad he talked me into it! We both ordered the Baked Garlic Shrimp. A bit on the small side but very good. I ordered the prime rib and he ordered the new york. The horseradish for my prime rib was especially potent so I used it very sparingly. Then we finished off with the Billy Miner’s Pie and spanish coffee. Soo good! Unlike most dineout menus, the portion sizes shrink and service is often sacrificed. This was not the case with our experience. So all in all, a pretty good deal.

Keg Scott Rd. Sry., B.C. Consistently attentive staff, decent albeit somewhat safe sorta predictable menu. Seasoning please? I dig the bar menu but my sliders were blue rare and inedible. My Mum in law’s steak was too rare as well. My entrée was served before I was finished my appy… boo. Ho-Lee the Beefeater Tom Collins was the best I’ve had!!! Bravo and big ups to the mixologist. Caesar salad was a must have item, so good. Even the fries were a piping hot«fresh from the fryer» treat! Gr8 dark full bodied coffee and desert was a chocolate decadent ice cream YUMMY mess. ttyl

Went here two Saturday in-a-row for dine out Vancouver. We ordered Mushroom soup and garlic shrimp as our appetizers, New York Steak and Prime rib as our main courses, Billy Miner pie and cheese cake as our desserts. Mushroom Soup tasted good, not the best I had but definitely above average. Baked garlic shrimp just tasted as good as used to be, my favorite appetizer in the keg as like as cheese toasts. New York Steak was perfect, with twice baked potato just perfect matched. Prime rib tasted above average, just too much fat. Billy Miner Pie is my favorite dessert in town, coffee ice cream with chocolate flavor biscuit base just matching perfectly. Cheese cake came with two different flavor, caramel and chocolate, both tasted good. Serving was excellent, servers there have excellent memory and super friendly attitude. I will definitely go there again.

Went here for our fourth anniversary. Started out pretty bad but how they fixed it was great. So we arrived at 8:45 and asked if we wanted the dining room or lounge. We said dining room. We were seated. Twenty mins passed and the waiter kept walking by with out acknowledging us. We were just about to leave when he came over and apologized saying the host put us in a section that wasn’t his but never told him he had to cover. The manager then personally came out and apologized as well and told us he would take care of a couple appetizers for us. The way I look at it is that mistakes happen. It’s really how people deal with them later. I thought they were very sincere and really liked that. We had the lobster grantinee, crab cakes and the filet mignon and a lobster tail for entrees. Everything was delicious! Good job keg staff!

The Keg is like the Starbucks of steaks. They get their steaks right, doesn’t matter where you eat. The meat cuts are great(given the price in mind). A medium rare is a medium rare, not well done or rare. The service at this particular spot was great! Went their for fathers day dinner and had a great time! They had the three course menu special for $ 45, which was an excellent value. Parents go the three course menu but I ended up getting the 14oz. prime rib(just to change it up). The prime rib was a great cut and done perfectly medium rare! PROTIP: for prime ribs, one can always ask for how fatty they want the cut to be! Keg’s BILLYMINERPIE, is hands down my favorite desert of all time! It is ridiculous! Overall, great food, service and price make for a good night!

Had a great meal. The staff is awesome although it was very busy. This place has absolutely the best escargot ever. I had a full rack of ribs and my wife had the sesame seed tuna, the meal was delicious and the service was great, couldn’t ask for better dinner.

I made reservation for 4 two days ago to secure a good seating and arrived to a small booth seat that was awkwardly positioned to have a couple staring at us. There were other seats available and we switched to a six people seating. Beside that, the server was courteous and attentive. Food was quite standard and met expectation.

I came here with the guy I am dating to celebrate our 5th year anniversary. The customer service was good, really good. We arrived shortly after 4 pm when the doors opened, therefore, the service and food was prompt. Thankfully there was no screaming children around. This allowed us to actually have a nice dinner. The décor is just like any other Keg that I’ve been to. Nice inside, however, no pressure to dress nice. Prices are high, however, you still get really decent steaks. I ordered my normal fillet min. 7 oz. It is one of the most expensive cuts, however, it is the leanest which complies with the weight watchers program. The bacon, however, on the outside was burnt black. Not cajun black but burnt. I’ve had this cut of steak at other Keg locations and it was not a problem. Thankfully I was in it for the cut, otherwise, for $ 38 I would’ve been livid about the burnt bacon. I did let the waitress know as just a heads up. I wasn’t looking to have any form of rectification, just awareness. Realistically being one of the first few orders of the day there was no real reason for a burnt bacon edge. The waitress apologized about the bacon thing. I think that certain reviews here need to get their head out of their a$$. Unless you’ve worked in the service industry do you understand that shit happens. As long as the waitress and the manager apologizes, accept it. There are sadly so many eateries that don’t and take their customers for granted. As for the short skit issue… how has this ever been a problem? If the people working there don’t feel objectified let it go. Clearly this review wasn’t written by a man ’cause I wished our waitress wore a short skirt. Gives the guy I am dating some eye candy since I won’t wear one. I did notice that they’ve really been skimpy on the veggies. They now only serve you approx 3 oz instead of the 5 oz of veggies. They used to give you nice cuts of veggies and know they just grill basic veggies and then charge you $ 3 something for a side. I know that the economy is touch and so is the cost of living, however, there are margins and then there is being a bit pretentious. P. S. The twice baked potato was amazing.

Update; was great aunts birthday and she was adamant on going to this location. The manager or owner who said she would contact me back was never found. Nor did she call back as stated. I will screenshot her msg to me and post on the keg photos on Unilocal so you can see how the mgmt is. Only way our experience of 12+ people was positive was the server from Jamaica Dimoney? Very quick and friendly guy with great smile. Other then the server, prime rib was available as she made sure we had reservations right at 4, cause everytime we go it’s sold out. Thank you for getting her q Billy Miner pie slice got her bday. She was happy. Wish the managers and owner could be more thankful and hard working. Still haven’t been back. If management and owner cannot keep their word and just have excuses there’s no need of our business welcome nor my followers. The manager/owner? Cathy wrote me and tried to explain the short skirts is part of their dress code etc, then requests my contact information which I provided, then after that no response. So I emailed her back again and Unilocal messaged her the other month and last month and still no reply. If you don’t want prime rib and rude servers and skimpy outfits, be sure to come here or save money and go to Guidlford station pub! Because of this one experience with the manager I will ensure we will not go to any other Keg restaurants. There’s so many other steakhouses that you get what you pay for and not a cheap peep show like No5 Orange strip bar!

I went the the Keg for my birthday dinner and it was a great experience. The atmosphere inside is dark and sophisticated, with very private and intimate seating. Although our server wasn’t very friendly or cheerful, the service was very quick and our food was excellent. From appetizer to steak entrees to drinks… Everything was tasty and delicious!

My boyfriend took me to The Keg for my Birthday dinner. The service was good, the food was great, and the wait times were short. The ambience was great and the staff were all pleasant. My free birthday dessert was delicious! I will definitely go back again.

This is the first time that I have been to The Keg. Its a very nice place with great service from start to finish. I apologize I didn’t catch the waiters name(or else I would have mentioned him by name here) but he was awesome and deserved every bit of the tip we left. Great food — you can tell the chef knew how to cook his steaks. I ordered a medium cooked steak and it was nicely grilled on the outside while still being juicy and pink on the inside. Also ordered the escargot appetizer and must say it was amazing! Definitely recommend this place. When I return to Canada again, I will surely plan to dine in here again. Thank you for the great experience.

Nice place, I go with the wife few times a year and I love the appetizers speedily the salads and off course the main course(steaks). If you want to eat checkin then go to a Greek restaurant but if you want a steak then you are in the right place.

We’ve had great service from our waiter Mike and the food was delicious. Yes, it’s somewhat pricey but we knew that going in and made it a bit of a treat. Our steaks were perfect, the garlic mash potatoes are always to die for and after that we were full but still tried to squeeze in some dessert… sigh! Tummies ready to burst, we stumbled out happy, content and tipped our waiter Mike for his awesome service.

When it comes to chains… NATIONAL chains at that… the food is usually a given. You know what to expect. It’s consistent, delicious, and good value — otherwise why would we go back. So all we can really judge them for is service. And service doesn’t need to be running on all four cylinders, it just can’t cause annoyance or raise an eyebrow. Family night out was going smoothly until… The server who brought out the food«dropped» the plate in front of my mom — result: rice flew. As she placed my sister’s plate down the black napkins she used to hold the plate made full contact — both sides — with the food — result: my sister made a disgusted face. Much to the embarrassment of my mother, who is just too conciliatory for her own good, I said something to our server because I had to get it off my chest — otherwise I swear my meal wasn’t going to be enjoyable. So I did. Our server, who was fantastic by the way, must have told the manager because she came by to apologize and confirm we were otherwise happy. I of course confirmed that but for the plate slamming and dirty napkin contact, yes, I was otherwise quite happy. She apologized once more and thought she’d also just let me know that the plates are heavy and the napkin incident was unintentional, yadda, yadda. Excuses? In one ear, out the other. Small mistakes for big chains — result: Hey do you feel like Cactus Club or Keg? Cactus Club. Even better — Canyon Creek please open in VANCOUVER. Please.

Our family and friends has enjoyed eating and entertaining at the Keg for more than 20 years. In all that time we have always had a great experience, especially at the Scott Rd location. As an added bonus it is within 3 minutes of our home and shares the same shopping complex as Future Shop where I work, everything all in walking distance, life is good!

BADBADBAD! Did I say BAD? The service was pretentious, the prime rib was delivered to the table cold(the fat had turned white) and it was flavorless. My wife’s steak on the other hand was over cooked. The deep fried onions tasted like they were made from cardboard… they were most definitely old as if they were cooked days before. I’d be embarrassed to serve this food if I were a waiter. Complaints did nothing to rectify the situation. We did not finish the meal. The liquor/wine prices were also higher than other area restaurants. It’s highly unlikely we’d return to this restaurant.
