Starbucks

Thank goodness someone finally had the brains to put a Starbucks next to a SkyTrain station in Surrey. It’s a green oasis in the madness of King George. If my bus karma is aligned, I can get my coffee between transfers in the morning, making a trip to the wilds of Surrey that much more civilized.
Someone seems to have learned to bake blueberry muffins at the Mermaid Factory (since my last review of a Starbucks bemoaning the lack of this simple classic breakfast treat), and I seem to be also spending a small fortune on warm Asiago pretzels.
It may be just another Starbucks, but it’s kind of perfect, whether I’ve forgotten to eat breakfast or just need an extra cup of the black stuff to face the day. It’s designed well for the grab-​and-​go people like me, but if you do have time to sit for a minute, there is a lovely patio out back.
