For the Superstore optical store inside, I definitely do not recommend. I had a huge amount of headaches from dealing with them, and my lenses needed to be re-ordered for the THIRD time at which point, I said forget it and refunded them instead. I originally got my lenses there because they had a 50% off lenses sale, no frame purchase required so the price was much cheaper than I could find anywhere else, around $ 120 vs. $ 300 elsewhere. But all the issues explain why they have to discount so much: 1. The lenses took 3 weeks to arrive instead of the 5 – 7 business days promised. 2. They told me they were ready and fitted them into the frame I provided. Immediately, I told them, these don’t feel right, but they told me I’d get used to it and sent me off. Of course, I did not get used to it, went to the Metrotown location for a second opinion and right away, they could see that the left and right lenses were different(different thickness) and one side didn’t have coating on it! So they got the Surrey location to re-order them for me. Manufacturing issue, but there should’ve been quality control at the store. They couldn’t see that they weren’t correct? 3. Adjusting my frames to my face was also a nightmare. The young girl at the store didn’t know what she was doing so that was my fault for getting her to try in the first place. My frames became out of alignment. But when I went back, I got the manager to adjust and after 10+ re-adjustments and it still looked crooked on my face, I said, forget it. 4. And even after re-ordering my lenses and getting them fitted back into my frames, I knew they still didn’t feel right but once again, they told me I’d get used to it. After trying to wear them for a while, I had to go back to the Metrotown location for a second opinion and after investigating the problem(which Surrey did not do), they realized the point of focus in the lenses was off alignment to where my eyes actually sat when I wore the glasses. They put the lenses in the direct middle of my frames, but since they are oversized hipster glasses, they sit low and my eyes are at the top of the frames. Twice they put my lenses in and they never measured the frames on my face. Normally, they would have you wear the glasses and they mark where you pupil sits on the lenses with a dot before putting lenses in. How could they not know to do this? They would need to re-order my lenses so they could fit them correctly in the frames so at this point I said, forget it, give me a refund and walked away. The prices are really cheap here, that is the good thing. So if you do get your glasses here, make sure they measure not only how far apart your eyes are(left and right), but also where your eyes are in relation to your glasses(up and down). And be aware that you can get a full refund if it doesn’t work out. Tip: since it’s a large purchase, you’re likely to qualify for the free gift they offer weekly when you spend over a certain amount of money. Posted on the front page of the Superstore flyer.

The store itself is great, but they have a real problem lurking in the underground parking area. Every time we go there we are harassed by this creepy guy for the dollar in our shopping cart. We got a token so wouldn’t have give him the $ and hopefully discourage interactions. I think many ppl. have done the same. I think the store really needs to invest in a security guard or customers will be chased away by this man’s behavior.

Roasted Peanuts were discontinued(in yellow bags) «New and Improved»(Blue bags) are absolutely horrible… staled, poorly roasted and every peanut has white rot on edges proving product being staled. I spoke with customer service«Loblaws» and they confirmed new source is from US origin. I am hoping that best peanuts Superstore used to sell will return. Please help to add your own comment!!!

One of the better Superstores in the GVA. They recently reorganized the store layout so everything is spankin’ new and clean, particularly the cosmetics/toiletries section. Their Joe Fresh selection is the biggest I’ve seen, with lots of sale racks all the time. There is also a whole aisle of natural and organic groceries — woooooot! The cherry on top? This location is not very busy at all(even during weekend rush) and has oodles of parking.
