Today was our last visit to Morrison Café. The food is good but the service is not… we go there knowing this and expecting it… but 5 tables came in after us and they all got there food. See ya.

What a great little neighbourhood diner. Cozy booths and excellent service. Coffee was topped up before it even got lukewarm. I had the Morrison’s benny and found it a bit heavy on the hollandaise but the flavour was good and the eggs were done just as requested. Big portion sizes. This place is my South Surrey crew’s go-to brunch joint so I’m looking forward to coming back.

This is a very good local café. The food is always fresh and service is friendly. It’s a small place and can get busy but they have always been pretty efficient. Try their specials as they can be quite good.

Tried to have brunch here on Saturday. Two of our party were at the table by 10 to 11 am and ordered tea. By 11, we were all seated and at 11:02 the server returned to announce«if you were here for breakfast, you’re too late. It’s after 11 and they’re very strict». Sadly our only recourse was to pay for the tea we did order and leave this nearly-empty restaurant where they obviously don’t feel they need customers.

On Saturday at 10:45 we sat down expecting to eat breakfast and ordered teas. according to the menu breakfast is served until 11. We were waiting for people to join us, they arrived at 11:01 and we were then told that they no longer are serving breakfast and that is a hard and fast rule. so we left… so if you want breakfast and arrive near 11.

Excellent food, Friendly staff! This little restaurant is a cozy little breakfast spot. Love to sit in the booths and look around at the decorations. This place has been around for many years and changed hands a few times. I even worked there as a waitress as a youth. The current owners are a wonderful young couple who have a passion for food and make an effort ot get to know their customers. They have even names some of their menu items after some of their regulars. The food is amazing! They have high standards and make sure everything is perfect. Definitely as breakfast/Lunch place you don’t want to miss! Love it!

Went with the bf, he got an omelet and toast and I had the turkey wrap with a salad. Both were very tasty, were brought out quickly, and came with everything we asked for. The waitress was nice but talked to us for too long when we were trying to look at the menu which was awkward and annoying. She also never brought milk out for the coffees or asked if we wanted any. The coffee tasted good for diner coffee and we got carrot cake to go, which was above average(I bake a lot so am fussy about my desserts), although the icing was too sticky and sweet for my taste. Everything was good, the reason I’m not rating this place higher is that it was pretty expensive for what it is — small portions of diner food. 2 coffees, 2 small meals and 2 pieces of cake + tip was well over $ 40! What?! I realize that it’s tough for restaurants to make money with food prices going up, but I could go somewhere better for lunch at $ 20+ per person.

Fabulous food. I only wish I lived nearby to eat there regularly. Staff was friendly, prompt and helpful. The food was phenomenal for a café and I would have paid 2 to 3 times what I did for the gourmet Cajun chicken with goat cheese salad I had had I ordered this at a fine restaurant. And the quality equally as good. Their specials change daily and seem to be made with love. If in the area, I strongly urge this establishment for lunch or their famous breakfasts.

My favorite place for breakfast in South Surrey. The menu has many popular dishes as well as traditional Scottish food such as haggis and black sausage that are hard to find else where. Portions are the right size, not over sized, and the food is made with care and love. The salmon Benny is my favorite. I had that same dish at Morrison’s and a 5 star hotel downtown(Yew at Four Seasons) in the same week. Morrison’s was better by far. Love this place, and will keep going back.

The café has a traditional European look and is cozy and well decorated, especially the vintage public pay phone. We got here just in time for breakfast. Even though it is Saturday, the café only serves breakfast till 11am. We ordered the chorizo hash and eggs, cappuccino milkshake and the black witch(black pudding). The hash was extremely fragrant and delicious with the monterey jack cheese and chipotle hollandaise sauce on top. The black pudding was kind of disappointing — overcooked and really dry. The bacon on top had a pool of grease. Not the most appetizing dish. The milkshake was flavourful with just the right amount of coffee. Service was unexpectedly slow and unfriendly(just our server). We will come back again to try other things on the menu and hopefully we will have a different server to enhance our visit.

Kept missing the open hours for this delightful little neighbourhood restaurant. Locally owned and tried and true. Plenty of regulars to prove it. I had an all day breakfast french style omellette that really hit the spot cooked perfectly. carrot cake for dessert and coffee refills galore! found my new breakfast spot. Dont know if Im going to be brave enough to try the haggis burger…
