OUTSTANDING CHINESE FOOD! If your looking for high class with cloth napkins and stuffy service, you WON“T get it here. What you do get is amazingly friendly service whether it be the owner, server or delivery guy. This is so refreshing from all the really bad service that you get at tons of upscale eateries in this day and age.
I would highly recommend the spicy wonton appetizer. The garlicy, spicy goodness that these succulent wontons are soaking in is to DIE FOR! I would put it on everything i eat if i could!
Also spicy green beans with pork and they have excellent special fried rice. My hubby and i go there on sundays and he gets #3 combo for 10.95 you get your choice of rice or chow mein, vegetable chop suey, sweet & sour pork and deep fried prawns. Huge portion for a really decent price!
Can’t say enough about Main Choice Chinese… YOU MUST TRY IT!

Have ordered their food a few times and it is always delicious, and you get a ton of food.

Good value, fresh and non too greasy. We ordered take out and left the wontons in the restaurant, waitress came running out with the bag if wontons as we were driving away. It actually could have been a bit of a dangerous situation as she was in my blind spot but she was able to kick it into gear and caught up to my wife who was sitting in the passenger side. Great service, the woman who runs the place is exceptional.

I’ve been eating healthier recently and had to forgo a lot of yummy Chinese food since I know most Chinese dishes are oily and are a bit too high in sodium for me
But I craved Main Choice so badly a week into my healthier lifestyle that I was willing to have a ‘cheat day’. So I called Main Choice ordering my yummy usuals. Instead, Kat, the owner, provided me with a healthier option of my favorite dishes!!! I was able to eat healthy fresh Chinese food without cheating on my healthier lifestyle. I’ve been back at least half a dozen of times in the past two months to satisfy my Chinese food craving.
Last, but not least, every time I pick up my food, no matter how small or demanding my order was, I am greeted with a warm smile and friendly chit chat. The owners of Main Choice are so friendly and accommodating, I couldn’t ask for more.
So whenever I want some authentic, fresh Chinese food in Surrey, I’ll speed dial Main Choice.

Ordered food for pick up and thoroughly disappointed. They had an offer for a 10% discount with anything over 25 $ which I had to fight for to get. Not sure why they advertised it if I had to convince them … Worst Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The sweet and sour pork was in a strange thin limited sauce. The vegetables in the chop suey were literally going bad I had to throw it away. They were almost black wilted and had a sour smell. The rolls were dripping oil. Terrible. The only reason I gave them two stars was because of the decent chow mein.

I am new to the Surrey area and was looking for a good Chinese restaurant. The food was awesome… the staff was very friendly!!! I will definitely be back!!!

I’ve ordered takeout twice from Main Choice. The first time was probably 3 stars. Fried rice was good, but the chicken balls were obviously something you could buy from the frozen section at T and T. Second time we had the Shanghai noodles and spicy green beans. Unfortunately neither of these dishes were very good. Shanghai noodles bland with mystery meat and very oily. I really wanted to like this place. For myself the food is the most important part, and good fast service just doesn’t make up for it. Overall 2.5

This really a 3.5 star review. Like others have mentioned, given the location of the restaurant no one would expect anything tasty to cone out of here but hey never judge a book right… There is a sort of odd chemical smell inside the restaurant and no music but very clean.
The lady at the counter is very nice, but it took awhile for my order to be taken, there were 2 take out orders to be filled ahead of me. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken. The chicken is breast meat, the flavor was great. The side of rice was a bit hard and not very sticky as I would prefer. The chicken corn soup is great, really. enjoyed it. I did notice I was over charged for my can of soda though. That was a turn off. But overall good eats for the price. And I had enough left over for lunch the following day.

The food was Great and so was the service. I’m visiting from the the USA with the U21 men field hockey team and the guys selected Chinese food for lunch. Glad they did as the food sure was delicious. I highly recommend Main Choice.

Ordered delivery from this place for the first time tonight & was not disappointed for the largest part.
We got the prawns w/​vegetables, beef and broccoli, almond chicken w/​lemon sauce, wor wonton, fried rice w/​chicken, shrimp, mushrooms & other assorted veggies. The woman taking our order was incredibly nice, professional, friendly & very willing to please. Best customer service I’ve experienced in quite some time, which was a welcome surprise. Even the delivery man, an older Asian guy, was very nice. Needless to say, he was tipped.
Everything arrived nice and hot, packaged very well & more quickly than we were told. We also got the menu we asked for, along with fortune cookies & condiments. It’s worth mentioning that we never get fortune cookies from Chinese restaurants in the Central City area. All of the meat, seafood & veggies were incredibly fresh and not at all overcooked. We were quite impressed. Portions of every dish were larger than from other typical Chinese-​Canadian restaurants and nothing was oversalted or oily, not even the delicious deep fried almond chicken. Love the fact that they also cut the corners off the takeout boxes for anything that’s deep fried to prevent it from getting soggy. Attention to detail always impresses me. This is very crispy almond chicken, thick pieces of it, not the usual type you get from most Chinese places, beaten thinner than a piece of paper with far more batter than chicken. Main Choice makes almond chicken right.
The only small negatives were that we would’ve liked triple the vegetables in the fried rice — we just love vegetables — and the lemon sauce needed a bit more fresh lemon juice added to it, which we did ourselves. Other than that, absolutely no complaints. We’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant close to Central City for over a year, no luck. All we’ve tried seriously lacked in customer service skills & food quality. Thankfully, Main Choice readily agreed to deliver to us, regardless of the fact that they’re in Newton.
We’ll definitely be stopping in at this place for dinner when we’re in the area next time. I’d like to see what the restaurant itself is like. In regards to Chinese delivery in Surrey, this will be the only place we order from in the future.

First time. Ordered beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour pork. My 5 year old gobbled up the beef and broccoli. Loved the sweet and sour pork. The breading was perfect. Very authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food. Very Friendly service. Good prices. Clean restaurant. They will give you plates and forks unless you ask for bowls and chopsticks.

Service is always amazing very friendly family owned restaurant. Great for takeout, good prices and good size servings. We always order from here for family functions or birthdays when we want some good Western Chinese food.
The best choice for Chinese takeout in Newton and Panorama. Dinner for 4 can feed an entire family with generous helpings of leftovers.

Yes, had to give a reluctant 4 stars to a typical hole in the wall establishment, esp. considering it ain’t no date worthy, quite antiquated interior.
But onto the food; not surprisingly, the honey garlic spareribs tasty, right about of crispness & fresh oil. Good size portion, and knew to cut out the corner top of the takeout, i like that ;)
Located in strip mall, plenty of parking but you can’t make a left from 72^nd Ave. due to island, gotta do one big loop.
