Funtopia

I will start by saying the walls are beautifully designed and the $ 15/​pp is a good value for the climbing walls, however, I chose to do the birthday party package and when I first booked on Monday the price as $ 18/​pp + $ 7.00/pp for a slice of pizza, a party room and drinks. At $ 7.00/pp I thought… meh…it makes it easier, I guess Ill try it out. I was hugely disappointed. I was given a cubicle instead of a room, and the pizza was of the absolute WORST quality… could not have cost more than $ 5, NOT fresh… just gross. it had sat under a heat lamp forever and was dried out. The «juice» was half of a frozen can of juice with water in a jug (I say half of a frozen juice because it was watered down so badly, it was coloured water). it basically had a colour to it, but no flavour. I think combined the total cost to the business for the «birthday party addition» was under $ 5.00 TOTAL (one x $ 3.00 walmart cheese pizza + half a frozen juice can @ .50) but I was charged $ 7.00×8 kids = $ 58.00. I understand its a business but when you are charging that much more per person, you should at least provide an actual room, a fresh pizza and juice that has flavour! I was super disappointed but I though, oh well… Ill never come back. As we are checking out. they tell us the rates have just been lowered to $ 15.00/pp and I asked if that would be reflected in my final total… they said no. So now it was as if I was paying $ 10.00 per kid for the $ 5.00 (total cost to the business) in frozen pizza and coloured water… that is a $ 75.00 mark up! Don’t EVER waste your time on the birthday party package, its awful and in this case it was made even worse when they lowered their rates just 2 days before I came but did not honor the lower rate when I paid, since I booked the day before the rate dropped. GROSS!

Awesome place for family recreation. Kids can enjoy soft area or climb a huge variety of walls. Good place for birthday party as well as just to spend half day on a rainy day. Pricing is moderate.

I was part of kids birthday party held at this location.
This is totally new place for where kids can be play some what unsupervised. The climbing gym is separate area where kids will be given guidance to how climb various types of walls with harness attached to secure them.
Not impressed with the food choices. I believe as part of the birthday package, kids got pizza as dinner. Sadly not many kids like the pizza they were provided. At the end there were lots of pizza left due to poor taste.

Should be named Expensiveopia. There are better places for kids. No ability to bring in any of your own food or drink items and expensive food. Had a nice time but will go to a better place for the money next time.

Funtopia is a fantastic place to bring the kids!
Let’s start from the outside and slowly going through the different areas:
Parking — They have designated parking spots so make sure you park in one of spots. There’s plenty of them and it’s free.
Entrance — The air condition hits you like a wall once you enter the front area, which was much needed for a hot summer day. The whole place is cool enough to keep everyone comfortable, but not too cold where you have to put an extra layer on.
Fees — $ 10 for kids 3 and under, $ 12 for kids 4 and over, adults are free. The climbing wall is extra, but I didn’t look into the costs since we were just spending our time at the jungle gym /​soft play area.
Food — Food is available for purchase and it’s overpriced (for example $ 6 for a ham and cheese sandwich) which I don’t mind paying, but it was NOT GOOD or worth the price. The only thing passable was the pizza and even then, I was disappointed. I probably wouldn’t order the food again unless they make some changes in this area. The food is what brought the score down to 4 stars out of 5. You also cannot bring your own food.
Staff — Every single person we encountered was great! We came in for a small birthday party of under 15 people so they let us take over some tables and chairs in the main area without any extra fees. Bravo on the excellent customer service and I hope they continue to stay this way.
Jungle Gym/​Soft Play Area — This is probably one of my favorite places to let my kid explore without worries. It’s clean and well built.
Everywhere else — Exceptionally clean and spacious. Maybe because Funtopia is still new, but I noticed the staff cleaning the washroom, the carpet near one of the tables that had a spill and emptying the garbage a few times.
My friends and I are already planning another visit with the kids.
