How could anyone not like Fresgo’s? It feels like good old fashion home cooking. Great service and really great prices for huge portions! When you go, try their apple pie. Yummm!

I was here years ago, decided to try it again, wow place is really dated, not very clean, breakfast 15 bucks with a coffee. Bacon cooked fresh is great. Plate full of greasy potatoes, eggs ok. Only thing missing for this greasy spoon is Rig parking. It’s just ok.

I’ve eaten here a few times on the advice of friends, and I’ve never been disappointed. The portions are BIG! Like larger than you’d expect a restaurant to serve you! I highly recommend their mushroom burger, which I swear comes with 5lbs of chopped mushrooms poured on top! And the strawberry cheesecake is AMAZING! Very much recommended!

This place is a real gem to find. It has a classic dinner feel. The food is very good. The service is ok. It could Be better but I don’t have much to complain about it. It’s nothing special to white home about. The prices are good when you insider the quantity and quality of the food. It’s not the cheapest place around but well rounded. You can only get into the parking lot travelling north bound on King George. A barrier prevents south bound traffic from turning in. Lots of parking.

This place is awesome. A friend and I decided to try this place out. This is the sort of dive place that I have been looking for. Not only did it satisfy my craving for Black Forest cake(gained about 3 lbs) the food was good, and the portions are HUGE. Standing in line to order your meal, cafeteria style reminded me of high school 20 years ago. There was a sort of comfort opening the cooler full of jello, rice pudding or slices of pies and cakes While I could feel my arteries clogging up, this old school style cafeteria will now be on my top favourite dives for a home cooked style meal. The interior design isn’t anything to write home about, and looks like it hasn’t been changed in 20 years, but that’s just one of the reasons you need to try this place out. Thumbs up…

I love this place. My fondest memory was when I witnessed my first ever pimp slap. Great free WiFi. Unfortunately the gravy is not unlimited.

Worst meal I have had in a long time. Ordered the lamb kabobs, it came with a Greek salad, and small container of Italian dressing on the side(seriously Italian dressing for a Greek salad) one small lamb kabob, which was tough, dry and tasteless. Plain basmati rice instead of rice pilaf(which was cold). Serve with a garlic sweet bread instead of pita bread. The supposed to be tzatziki sauce tasted like tartar sauce. WOULDNEVERGOBACK. Only reason why I gave one star was my husband’s clam chowder was good.

First time at the Fresgo and it was amazing. I was told to have the mushroom burger for my first meal at the Fresgo and it was a huge portion and it was so amazing and good! Can’t wait to go back!

OHMYGOD! As a fat 200lb 12 year old kid my dad would take me to Fresgo on Davie right beside the«Gay-Mart» all the time and even though I was overwhelmed by the crowd that hung outside the place the sheer shining heaven that was a neon lit cafeteria style restaurant was more than enough to make me feel all bubbly inside. The famous mushroom burger was the big thing there where there was a plate completely COVERED in beautifully cooked mushrooms and you could hardly even see the burger itself. Over the years after it closed down I completely forgot about this place until recently when a friend of mine asked if I’ve ever been to a place called«Fresgo» in Surrey and I remember my eyes lighting up and asking if they had massive mushroom burgers. He said yes and I started freaking out. I had no clue that there were always two locations! This place is still an old school neon lit cafeteria with tons of food to choose from. Sub sandwiches, turkey dinner, pasta, and even cakes. There is something here for everyone. Of course the mushroom burger is the huge draw and for under $ 10 you get a burger with tons of mushrooms along with a plate of fries, you just can’t go wrong with that! If you want to try something old school and love oldies music this is a spot you need to check out. There is nothing I can say negatively about Fresgo, I am just so happy that it’s back in my life :)

Surprised this place has not been on Diners, drive ins and dives!!! Exactly what you want to eat when you just have a craving for good old fashion diner food! The mushroom schnitzel is one of my favourites, but nothing will disappoint you!

This place seems to be loved by many people, but it’s a special kind of taste. The décor is a 70s style cafeteria, where you wait in line and order and pay for your food before sitting down. You walk in to those old school coolers with the glass sliding doors and individual puddings, jello, and pie slices on display. You use cafeteria trays, and are served extremely greasy cafeteria food. If you like quality, this place is definitely not for you. If you want a walk down memory lane with some guilty pleasures, give this place a try.

One of the best greasy spoon cafeterias in the heart of surrey central. A hidden gem. Portions: BIG I mean huge. The spaghetti meat balls dinner comes with 5 massive meat balls 2 ladles of sauce and 2×6″ pieces of garlic bread. If this isn’t going to fill you up then there’s a future for you in competition eating my friend. The Special burger comes with 2 ¼lb patties on cheese with at least 2 slices of big thick cut bacon & a whole plate of fries, yes the burger comes with it’s own dish because the piles of golden fries took up the real-estate on that plate and ain’t going no where fast. Last time I came with friends I was dared to try their prime rib dinner. The slab was bigger/taller than my hand, clenched into fist, Thumb UP wards! taste was ok, not the greatest but for the price was not bad and the side dishes again were many dishes on the side And the options of desserts right there in the display case for you to choose from. The décor is more or less untouched since the early 80s and gives it that old time truck stop diner feel which is fine by me. There many TVs around and free WiFi. My father used to come here years ago when he was driving his delivery truck and when we visit surrey he’s glad fresgo’s still remain the same all this time.

A Surrey legend. This place hasn’t updated their décor since 1983 and it’s amazing. Hidden deep in the bowels of Whalley this place is a gem. The potato salad is amazing. Portions are HUGE. Literally everything I have had here has been delicious and hearty.

My father likes taking us to this restaurant. It is a cafeteria style restaurant. You order and pick up and serve yourself. The portions are huge. You can easily split one dinner between 2 people. Meals average $ 15 – 20. You seat yourself. It is always very busy. I find the food a little greasy and the salad over dressed for my taste. You pack your own take away, usually a whole meal as they are massive. The deserts are delicious. They bus the tables quickly. Washrooms aren’t very clean. Restaurant décor needs an upgrade but is clean. Cashier is average.

Me and the fiancé were craving breakfast. Steak and eggs to be exact. But it wasn’t breakfast time, and the fiancé wanted a steak that was not a T-Bone(like Denny’s). So I Googled a bit, and found the Fresgo Inn. Never been there, but what the heck, the picture of the steak and eggs on the Fresgo website looked tasty. So off we go. We actually drove past it because the store front wasn’t exactly on King George. You drive into the parking lot(east), and the front of the restaurant is facing south. I don’t know if that made sense, but what I’m trying to say is that it’s easy to miss if you’ve never been there. The building definitely has seen some better days, and the furnishings as well, but whatever. Kinda dumpy, but the food makes up for it. Large portions, pretty decent food, and good prices. They cook out in the open, and don’t good restaurants always have cook out in the open? Also super friendly staff! And breakfast(my favourite meal!!!) is available all day! Awesome! One thing to note: the toast that came with our breakfast was to die for. I had whole wheat, and the fiancé had raisin bread. I don’t know what it is, but I swear it was the best whole wheat toast I had ever had in my whole life. My mouth is watering right now as I type this. We will definitely go back to Fresgo.

The mushroom burger is the signature first timers order because its famous. Although its nowhere near as big or has as many mushrooms as it used to be but its still pretty huge.
