Dragon’s Chop Suey House

The food was not ready even 20 minutes after they told us to pick up. The hot and sour soup was the worst we have ever had. We ordered four other dishes, all of which were horrible and flavorless. I think anyone who has written anything positive about this place has never had good Chinese food. Do not waste your time or money here.

This is a true hidden gem in the back alley.
I went here for the first time today and was very pleased by everything.
Don’t let the small size of the place and location fool you! I had a very pleasant experience here!
The server/​waitress was very friendly and I could tell (myself being a waitress) that she was working really hard considering she was the only one serving. I was almost tempted to get up and help her clear the tables.
My party of 3 ordered sweet & sour pork, beef chow mein with gravy sauce and shrimp fried rice. All three dishes were sizeable portions — with reasonable pricing — and were all absolutely delicious! I loved it! The sweet & sour pork was made just the way I like it (not overly sweet and just the right amount of SOURNESS in the sauce); the chow mein had nice large juicy beef pieces and the rice was done to perfection. The meal was very filling and I will most definitely be coming here again!

We have been going here for 10+ years and we find it hard to go anywhere else. Fresh food, great service, large portions! The honey garlic sesame chicken is awesome!

Place bit difficult to locate but worth discovering as this for sure falls in it hidden gem.
Great customer service.
Good quantity, I guess you get more for takeout orders.

We ordered take out from here and were told it would be 45min. We showed up at 50 minutes and our food still wasn’t ready and they told us another 30 minutes. I personally can’t give more stars.
Location was in the back of the complex almost missed it.
Service there was only 2 other customers but they did do deliveries, but they had a full kitchen staff and one person stood there and waited and didn’t even say hi welcome come in or any kind of greating.
The food was good. But the service wasn’t what i expected.

Small place but GREAT fresh food! Definitely a place worth seeing.

Very solid place, maybe a 3.5 just for good old-​fashion, cheap, fast chinese food, made for westerners; not an ounce of chinese characters on the menu but fine with me. Bit hard to find at first, not visible fr main street, as it’s tucked all the way back in the corner in this plaza.

though it’s geared for pickup/​delivery, quite a spacious seating area, about 8 tables with decent linen under the plastic table tops, nicely carpeted throughout. Won’t win any décor awards but at least it’s not a hole in the wall.

Tiny place but good food! I especially liked the Cantonese Chow Mein with crunchy noodles. Good chinese food take out/​delivery.

Most friendly people ever, don’t speak good English but there kindness, great food and quiet little place is the Best Ever. Good portions, best I found in this area… And pickup orders are great also

It has been our restaurant of choice for Chinese food for some time now and never fails to provide excellent food.

Found this place by accident but was very happy I did. When you first walk in seems quite small but the food makes up for it. I really enjoyed the spicy fried tofu and mongolian beef. Recommend this place With open arms for people who enjoy friendly staff and good food.

One way I rank the Chinese restaurants is the house special chow mein with crunchy noodles. It’s our favorite Chinese dish and Dragon House makes the best in Surrey.

Pleased to find the last review. We had been very disappointed in the local Chinese Food offerings until now. Plentiful portions and great flavour.

You know what? Not bad!
I find Surrey is a bit of a wasteland when it comes to food (and I live here, so…) with many restaurants just barely making the grade. Few actually stand out.
I don’t know enough yet about the rest of Dragon’s menu but they did pretty well on the basic stuff I ordered — S&S and a Szechuan Chicken. Quality of the ingredients was pretty good and that is important for a quick ‘n dirty Chinese eatery.
This place is hard to find. It’s at the corner of the semi-​industrial building where Papa Joe’s (which I also reviewed) is.
I will definitely order something from them again and will update this review when I do. Meanwhile, give ‘em a try — they’re friendly, looks pretty clean, and even late on Remembrance Day there were people there eating inhouse…

This is another local restaurant that my wife and I get take-​out from on a regular basis. The staff are very friendly and are always ready to serve you. My favorite dish is the chicken lettuce wraps, their addictive!!!
