Dog Utopia is dedicated to enhancing the well-​being and happiness of dogs and their families by providing a reliable and comfortable experience.

Our groomers aim to provide your dog with a gentle grooming experience by helping them through any process they find difficult. This takes a bit more time but is worth it in the long run. Our grooming is by appointment which means less time spent in a cage and is all hands on.

Our daycare which operates Monday to Friday is geared towards small and medium size dogs only. We provide a clean and safe environment for everyone. The dogs have access to an outdoor potty area in the back and are taken out for frequent potty breaks. In the warmer months, we have a wading pool for the dogs to enjoy and cool off in. We also play games and engage your dog in activities which burns off some of the excess mental energy.

Training is provided by Jeff Rowat with Miss Demeanour Dog Training.

History

Established in 2003.

Megan Ferris purchased Dog Utopia in February of 2010 and has expanded the business services as well as brought her canine expertise to the clients of Dog Utopia. She has worked with dogs since 1999 and is on a constant search for knowledge on dog behaviour. She has worked at and volunteered at various shelters and with rescue groups and is still very involved in the animal welfare world today.

Business Owner

Megan Has owned Dog Utopia since February of 2010. She has been working with dogs since 1999 and is on a constant search to learn as much about dog behaviour as possible. She finds animal behaviour fascinating. She has worked at and volunteered with various shelters and rescue groups and is still very much involved in animal welfare today.

Megan participates in Nose Work with one of her dogs and is fascinated by the power of a dogs’ nose and how they can follow odour. It is really wonderful to see a dog being a dog in their true form.
