Great place. The new management has really turned around this place. I had the steel along with a chipped draft beer. The steak was medium rear and one of the few places which get it right. My wife had the tandoori chicken and she loved it. Service was excellent and I would definitely come back. 4 stars because I reserve 5 for exceptional food and service and places which go beyond what’s expected. Overall a great place.

Went here for dinner for the first time tonight since it was a Rockwells. We sat in the lounge and were served by the bartender, Sherman, who was very attentive and provided suggestions and tips on the menu. I had the smoked rib eye and my wife had the jerk chicken quesadilla, both of which were delicious. And any place that serves Kronenberg Blanc on tap is OK in my books! Good ambiance, enthusiastic crew and tasty meals will have us coming back.

Ran into this place after a business meeting. My girlfriends and I enjoyed some great appys and wine in their nice lounge. Loved the pizza, chili chicken and steak bites! The wine list was amazing too! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!

My husband and I had dinner at Charcoal & Woodz last night for the first time. It is attached to the Holiday Inn Hotel but is independent. We were sorely disappointed in the previous restaurant at this location so we were excited that a new place had opened up in its place. We had a great experience and would definitely go back again. The service was excellent. The waitress was obviously experienced and was able to answer all of our questions about the drinks & food. She was attentive without being overbearing. At the end of the meal either the manager or co-owner came by and he was very interested to know what we thought about the food and our overall impression of the restaurant. It was nice to see that they value customer feedback. I ordered the Jerk Quesadilla. I was concerned it might be too spicy but the spice level was perfect. It had a good amount of chicken & pepper filling and was served with fresh salsa and sour cream and fries. I upgraded to yam fries for $ 2 extra. They were also very good. My husband went with the Charcoal & Woodz Burger. It was a mouthful to say the least. An 8oz. burger stuffed with blue cheese and topped with sautéed mushrooms & an onion ring. He had to take the onion ring off as he couldn’t get his mouth around the burger otherwise! He said it was excellent and cooked perfectly. We took a piece of their chocolate cake home for later(can’t remember the exact name of it). It was good but very rich and sweet. I probably wouldn’t order it again for those reasons. All in all, we were very impressed and we will continue to give them our patronage if they continue to perform as well as they did last night.
