Unexpectedly awesome. Stopped in while shopping for a Saree in the same building. Ordered a chana masala and mixed vegetables. Both were amazing and totally blew me away. Highly recommended. The sweets are great too!

Yum yum yum! Our office regularly orders take out from here. The best vegetarian indian food by far. Their version of butter chicken vegetarian style is wonderful and I am meat eater. Samosas are fabulous! Definitely recommend this place.

Samosas are $ 0.75 each. I ordered 10 to try. They are unfortunately lacking in spice and higher in price compared to other sweet houses. Size of the samosa is similar to other places.

The Sunday buffet is essentially a home cooked meal served by a friends mother. The food is delicious yet simple — batura, chole, sabji and halwa for a ridiculously low price of $ 5 – 7. The Samosas are to die for and so are the parathas! Staff are very friendly and the restaurant itself is simple yet immaculately clean!

We got here for Halwa Puri. A real Punjab style, nice service, and efficient. Top it with a cup of tea.

Vancouver areas best kept secret for Punjabi brunch!!! Fellow Unilocaler and friend couldn’t stop raving about their brunch and we decided to give it a shot! Best decision ever!!! It met my expectations and beyond, heck I would make the trip from Seattle to Surrey on Sunday mornings only for their puri, chole and potatoes with halwa!!! The seating and customer service is comparable to a very generous host who has invited you home for a fabulous meal. Calgary sweets is known for their Sweets but what people don’t know is, they serve fixed breakfast from 11am-1pm on Sundays. Its hard to see the small seating area when you come to the store. There might be a little bit of wait time depending on what time you get there. We barely waited for 5 minutes last weekend!!! They serve unlimited chole(chickpeas in Indian spices), potatoes(cooked with spices) along with onions, carrot pickle and chillies. The best part is the puri which is served fresh and hot. Typically puris are very greasy and can get heavy but these are soft, light and delicious. The halwa for dessert is also out of the world, its not too sweet and rich!!! The thing to keep in mind is breakfast is very very reasonable. Among 5 people we bought a few sweets, laasi and 5 fixed meals all under 40 Canadian dollars!!! Absolutely must go brunch place as soon as you cross the border from US to Canada or on your way back!!!

I wanted to try the famous«Puri Halwa» from Calgary sweets for quite a while. The problem was they only served on Sunday, for a few hours so never made it. I finally manage to do that after multiple failed plans over the last 2 years, and I must say I was impressed. The food tasted really good, the price is awesome(6CAD buffet), and even through the place was packed and even then the service was pretty quick.
