Brewster’s Pub & Liquor Store

Usually don’t post anything here but we got served almost 3 pounds of cold wings. And the coffee taste too watery; can’t taste any coffee at all. Not visiting again.

So we came last week now today. different waitress Jana was excellent. I will be back especially if she is working. Best customer service ever. Mango chipotle wings was wonderful. cheers

So this review is for the beer store, not the pub…
They have a pretty good selection, although they don’t carry the cider I like of course I can find something I like nearly as much, and they really are cheaper than the government liquor store. This is a big surprise for me, as I’m in east Vancouver and all the beer & wine merchants here are way more expensive than the government stores. So, yay.
Service is prompt and friendly — if a little on the surly and bitter side but that seems to be a common trait with the lovely ladies that work at these places. They probably have to be that way, I’ve seen the clients in action…

It has been roughly a year since my sports group and I have been to this pub due to the terrible service and the kitchen closing early but Monday night we decided to give Brewsters another go.
For an Monday night it wasn’t too busy seeing that we had arrived a bit before 10 pm Our server asked us if we wanted to order any food and if we were she would keep the kitchen open for one last order before they close which was super cool
of her. The gang ordered beer, wine, and coolers and I got a Coke. Drink order was taken and our server came back after to take food orders which was super fast. My order was the club house sandwich on multigrain with an order of soup instead of fries. I wasn’t too overly impressed with the soup (tomato and basil) super chunky tomato and acidic like the acid from those bitey guys from the movie Aliens. The club was decent but the bread crusts seemed hard from being in the toaster, bacon was not the best quality, but the turkey was tasty.
Despite the food being pretty decent our server made up for it as she was prompt, fast, and was a great sport taking our terrible jokes through out the night. I didn’t catch her name but she was the shorter girl with the dark curly hair. Kudos to you for making our night great!!!
The washrooms were super clean and even had the «convenience» Center with $ 2 adult novelties, cologne, and chewing gum. C’est bon!!!
The second visit did not disappoint and it looks like the group may be making a three peat in the near future.

I’m very baffled by all the negative comments I’ve read. I’ve been going here for 3 or 4 years and my experience has never been bad. Friendly staff. Bartenders are good guys. Waitresses are phenomenal at what they do and even the manager is pleasant to chat with. Everyone has their bad days, but I can’t complain about anything they give out. Good job guys and gals! :)

Well, call me lame, but I’m not a big drinker. My friends are, so I’ve tagged along and had a pot of tea (yes a pot of tea) at Brewsters during the afternoon. In fact, I have tagged along many times, and I’ve never felt uneasy for not drinking alcohol there. The wait staff are friendly and helpful, if super busy. The atmosphere isn’t incredible, but it certainly feels like a neighbourhood bar.
The food, I am surprised about, is very delicious. First place I have ever tried deep fried burritos. The tea is decent, but I am sure you guys aren’t going there for that.
I’ve had a few mixed drinks, most good, but there was once a horrible concoction. The bartender did not know how to make a good strawberry daiquiri. I suggest asking the waitresses what their recommendation on mixed drinks are, for they knew the guy could make that drink.
