Absolutely Nails Esthetics

I received a gift card to Absolutely Nails a while ago and went in to get a shellac manicure. The girl who did my nails did not say a word to me the whole time. She used an electric grinder to file down the tops of my nails. At some points I had to tell her to stop because it was burning my nail bed. The shellac manicure was neat and done well. The only issue was that my nails were paper thin when the shellac was removed because they had been filed down so much. I will not return to this place as they take shortcuts to get the job done and do not follow proper procedures to complete a manicure.

I would give zero stars if that was an option. My family got me a mani-​pedi certificate for my birthday and I made the mistake of not booking Rose. She is the only one here thats professional and does a great job.

anyway, from the second I walked in I was rushed to pick a colour. One of the girls came and was picking colours for me and telling me which one to do and rushing me… so i didn’t even get to choose what i wanted.
They both definitely were talking about me in front of me, thinking I didn’t understand the language.
I came in with my nails shaped square… and they made both my toes and fingers rounded without even asking me the shape i wanted before they started.
The one working on my feet clipped my toe nails without care to the shape, and didn’t even file my toe nails to give them any type of shape ! They look completely uneven and uncaringly clipped.
The one working on my finger nails made them so short and rounded and uneven i look like i have child hands now.
She was also filing them all sideways and when i spoke she made such a big deal about things.
What a waste. I am SO upset at myself for not stopping them and just walking out. Worst experience ever and such a waste of money and time.

I love Shayla! She is very sweet and very professional! Helen is the worst! One is rude too! I am all about service! When I walk in, I look for professionalism and great attitude! It seems as if all the Vietnamese girls just sit and gossip about each of us customers (yap yap yap yap non stop!)
Long (the owner) is lovely! I go in because of her. Her Son is pretty rude so he needs to change his attitude because he was pretty rude and out of line when I had to do my check out and if I have to deal with 2 rude worker’s & then owner’s son, I am ready to take my business and my friends all to another nail salon where everyone treats the customer’s much better.
Long, have a talk with your staff and with your son. Customer’s are important for your business. Please tell them to be polite & respectful. Don’t give us the attitude or the rudeness or we will go elsewhere.

I like this nail salon but the quality of your treatment really depends on what tech you get. Some of their nail technicians are extremely rough and do a poor job. You can tell who’s rushing and who’s not. I have had a few negative experiences. However, most of the time I am happy with my nails, shellac usually lasts about 10 — 14 days. The salon is clean, orderly, and always packed. They are also open late (7 pm) which is nice.

I think this is my favorite nail bar in South Surrey, quick fun atmosphere, lots of color options and they have so many chairs you can almost always get in!
