Brian started in the HVAC industry as a sheet metal apprentice in southern Ontario. After 10 years in the industry, he decided to open his own business in Sudbury, where Brian is originally from. He started this business on his own, having a crew of only himself. The first shop opened in Lively, with the next and current location on Kelly Lake Road.

In 2008, Northern Air was accepted into the ClimateCare Co-​operative, which is an organization for HVAC contactors. ClimateCare members are dedicated to on-​going training and technical excellence in order to provide superior customer service and follow through on their We C.A.R.E. promise of Comfort, Accountability, Reliability, and Excellence.
