Hart doesn’t exist where I’m from, so I had to wander over from the bus terminal to check it out. It reminds me of Zellers or BiWay(now THAT’S a trip down memory lane!). Pros: — Lots of different things to look at — chances are you’ll find what you came looking for. — Reasonably priced items(for the most part). Some things are rather good deals, whilst others are comparable to Walmart. As Sam mentioned, though, Walmart is not as conveniently located and I doubt the extra time and/or gas to get there is worth a price difference of less than $ 5. — Hart will apparently do a price match if you bring in a competitor’s flyer. — Large clearance section. — Nice, quiet shopping experience — this is a major plus for me. Walmart is a nightmare in that respect. — A 90-day return/exchange policy sounds pretty decent to me. Cons: — The entire store is sort of dated and a little run-down, not unlike the mall that houses it. — Some sections seemed a little pricey for no apparent reason. I’ll be back!

They seem to be a slightly higher grade version of The Bargain Shop. They’re decent, and slightly higher priced than Walmart for some things, but if it comes down to paying more here, or going up to New Sudz with a 90 minute+ round trip, Hart will win almost every time. Unless of course the item I want is more than $ 5 the one at Walmart. They sell some decent quality furniture as well, sometimes it’s on clearance. It’s a shame they don’t offer delivery on it though. If you’re lucky, you might be able to borrow a shopping cart if you talk to the on-duty manager and maybe leave him your ID. YMMV on that though.
