KFC Fresh

If I wanted healthy food, I’d go to something other then takeout. If I want KFC, I want KFC. Their spin on a healthier breaded chicken sandwich was pretty weak.
They do serve beer though!

Nice fast food. Finally something that resembles healthy food. Just picked up and devoured a huge fajita rice and beans bowl, nachos fries and aside salad. They offered a combo which would include a sugar fountain drink and I asked if I can get a side salad instead. No hustle and I got what I wanted. Funny staff! I think I should have ordered one item only as there is enough to feed me. Feel stuffed now… oh and they also sell beer, probably not craft beer. Nice move, last time I saw something like this was in Germany, mcds had tap beer.

KFC, after years of full-​on assault from hipper, fresher rivals finally decided to try a new concept. This is it.
KFC Fresh is the first store of its kind. Toronto makes sense because it is not in the thick of its two main targets: Chick Fil A (U.S only) and Chipotle (only recently sweeping Canada).
This store has waffle fries almost identical to Chick Fil A, as well as a fried chicken sandwich. It also serves bowls and burritos akin to Chipotle. And like Chipotle, it serves up chicken raised without hormones, antibiotics, etc.
Here are some key results…
1. The bowls and burritos are good, but not quite Chipotle. You don’t get to really choose quite like Chipotle, and there are no
grilled veggies or brown rice. That being said, they are about 2 $ cheaper than the rival.
2. The fries have options to add toppings such as BBQ bacon, spicy, and nacho. I tried the spicy fries and liked them.
3. They offer a self-​serve drink bar that is really nice with options to mix vanilla, cherry, etc in your soft drinks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have tap water!
4. They offer fries, side salad or slaw as a side options. They could be more inventive here. The slaw is healthym (not loaded with mayo), but bland.
5. They are still working left out kinks in service, my but it has been better in each of three visits.
6. The decorum is modern with lots of metal, concrete and clean lines.
This is much better than lmjtraditional KFC and is a viable option formiokjkkk those who normally pay more at mMcDonald’s for wraps or hut salads, or who like Chipotle, but want to spend a bit unj less. yyyut
