KFC/Taco Bell

On our way home from Truro we stopped at this location. I have to say that the restaurant was not very clean and the floors were really dirty. While we were eating we noticed that the employees were picking food up with their bare hands and one was sneezing and not covering their mouth.

After a fun weekend at my sisters cottage in Parlee Beach, my husband and I were driving home to Halifax and needed a pit stop in Stewiack. I hinted that I was hungry and could go for some crunchy hot meaty food. He got the hint, I wanted Taco Bell.
I usually like this location as the bathrooms, though not fancy, are clean, there is a nice front patio and the windows let in a lit of light.
He ordered a couple of burritos and I ordered a crunch wrap with no sour cream. Our cashier seemed to have a hard time with the orders, but we got through it. When our food came and we sat to eat, to our disappointment the burrito was not hot and my crunch wrap had sour cream. I took mine back because that’s what I do when I’m not satisfied, and in no time they had made a fresh one, apologized and gave me a free apple dessert for the trouble. I enjoyed my meal, and felt pleased with the resolution.
Because of how they made it right and were polite, I will definitely go back when on future road trips. I find this the better options of the available spots in this highway break spot.
