Golden Apple

The Golden Apple has always been there. This combination diner and family restaurant is a staple for the community, and I had been there here and there as a child and a teen. We were recently doing the usual search for an all-​day breakfast restaurant after one we went to turned out to be closed, and thought we would check the Golden Apple on the off chance they were still serving breakfast. It turns out that although they do not officially have an all day breakfast, their menu includes bacon and eggs, omelettes, BLT and bacon and egg on a bun. The menu also includes things like sandwiches, hot sandwiches and diner-​type dinner options, cheap steak dinners, etc. I enjoyed my bacon and egg on a bun and we ended up going there a couple of days in a row. The service seems friendly and they are open convenient hours, although we did run into a problem when they closed New Years Eve afternoon, the usual risk you run with local small businesses. Overall, the Golden Apple is a decent, reliable place for a late breakfast or for lunch.
