Business Owner

I have been in the Photography business since 1985 and started off with working with many different well known Professional Photographers in Toronto. I have managed many studios including Phillips’ Photography Studio in Oakville. With Phillips’, I learned about many different aspects about the photography business including heavy exposure to many different diverse cultures. I am also Fluent in American Sign Language and am able to service the Deaf Community.

Currently, I volunteer with The Toronto Police Service as an Auxillery member and volunteer in other projects as well. I enjoy dealing with people on many levels.

In February of 2012, I opened up my new Studio «Doug Wolters Photography Studio» in St Catharines and will be applying everything that I have learned from the thousands of Weddings and the many jobs that I did in Photography to my new venture here in St Catharines.

Doug ripped us off. He had us pay fully in advance for his work and then only provided us with a portion of our pictures.
The photos he did give to us had problems. They had not been touched up properly— one photo even had a piece of garbage left in the shot! Photos that were black & white with colourized flowers had colour bleeding into the rest of the image. Very poor editing work. I brought these photos to his attention and, after many delays at his end, he did provide us with photos that had been somewhat improved.
He also told us that our larger (and more costly) photos had been delayed at the printers. The date for receiving these photos kept being extended by Doug. After a while, he promised that he’d deliver the remaining photos when they were sent to him, then stopped returning our calls and responding to emails. We never received the remaining photos nor a refund.
Oh yeah, he told us he was applying to be a police officer and talked about the application process often. I don’t know if he actually was applying or if he just does this to make himself seem honest.
Buyer beware.
