Great employees. Great food. Cheap prices. Tons of beer on tap and dry reasonably priced. I’m a huge fan and will always be a customer

First time at Bugsys, great selection of beers. They have this cool 99 beer challenge. You have one year to try each one and upon hitting milestones, you get a mug, t-shirt and at the end, your name engraved on a plate then put up on the wall. Pretty cool idea. I had their honey garlic wings, pretty good but I’ve had better. Nice size wings though. Atmosphere is pretty chill, bar area and around the corner a sit down area. Good for sports and relaxing. I’ll go back.

The problem with having so many beers is that they are not all fresh, especially an odd ball beer. I have had far too many flat and skunky beers at bugsys. The menu really pushes the greatness of their wings. I have had them twice, first and last time in the same night. Hands down the absolute worst wings I have ever had anywhere in any city. You ever get the odd wing that looks big but you just can’t get a decent bite off of it? Every wing is like this here. The wings are 75% weirdness that you just can not bite into and even the bites you do get are disgusting. Pizza looked good. Bummer I didn’t order one and a popular beer.

We have been here many times over the years. We visit from out of town and on EVERYVIST we stop here. There must have been a change of ownership or something because this time the food was terrible. We had one order of Honey Garlic wings and one of Buffalo wings. They were both so over cooked that I wasn’t sure at one point if I was eating the chicken or the bone. The order of Buffalo wings were cooked the same and on top of that there was next to no sauce. You guys have to do better than this or you won’t be around for long.

Bugsy’s is still the best pub-grub I’ve had in Canada! Once again, get the nachos!

Bugsy’s is often regarded by many st. catharines locals as one of the better pub/restaurants in town. Unfortunately, I agree. The sad truth is, if Bugsy’s is to be considered one of the better(or best) pub in town, what does this say about pubs in St. Catharines? The point being that Bugsy’s is an average pub, not especially great, but definitely not bad either. Pros: — Yes, the staff is very friendly, and definitely adds to the charm of the place. — And Yes, there are a ton of beers to choose from(though only around 10 or so on tap — the rest are bottled beers from numerous countries around the world). — And Yes, in the bar section there are many many nice flashy big screen LCDs displaying whatever possible sport you might be interested in watching(great place to catch a Leafs game). Cons: — Much like most average pubs, most everything on the menu is deep fried(though this is probably for the best, being that its not exactly an Iron Chef back in the kitchen putting together gourmet masterpieces). — If you get stuck in the back room because it’s too busy, you basically feel like you’re sitting at the kids table at a family dinner. On the opposite end of the stick, sit too close to the front door during winter, and you’ll be wishing you were wearing thermal underwear. Some of my favourites from the menu: –Deep fried Dill Pickles, Fish & Chips, Other notes: –Some people seem to think that the wings here are great, but I’d have to disagree. Yes they are large, but quite often are also dry(because someone’s gone a little light on the sauce, etc.). Interior: Bugsy’s is essentially made up of three different sections; A regular restaurant section with a few booths, A bar side with a bunch more booths & standing tables, and also a back section for parties/overflow. And similarly to the franchise equivalents(Kelsey’s, Applebees, etc.), the walls are decorated with the usual clutter of useless paraphernalia reminiscent of «Uncle Moe’s Family Feedbag». Overall, Bugsy’s is a good for St. Catharines, but nothing remarkable anywhere else. Essentially, Bugsy’s sticks to the generic North American formula for restaurant/pubs, and I suppose there’s nothing wrong with that.

I can smell the wing-dripping nostalgia with every keystroke. I grew up right behind this place, and actually, in it more often than not. We would head to Bugsy’s for our Friday night wing feast where my dad and I would compete to chow down more chicken limb than the other. Over the years this place has changed hands a few times and the city is dying a slow death, but Bugsy’s is still top-shelf pub food. I most recently had an array of wings, fingers, skins, nachos and draft — all great. The prices are good and the bar is a welcoming dim affair sure to please.
