Beaners Fun Cuts For Kids

Misty is the best hair stylist there! so goofy and sweet! I love her! great atmosphere!

It was okay. Bathrooms and store is neat and clean, and the staff smiles and does a good job.
My only problem is that the chairs do not have seat belts.

This was my second trip to the St. Albert Beaners, and I left much happier than last time. Why? Totally due to Misty and I would highly encourage you to request her for your young’uns. She has four children of her own and it shows. She was cheerful, patient, showed each step in advance instead of just swooping in on a novice cuttee. She asked permission before switching from scissors to razor, demonstrated it on herself to allay any fears, and went at the child’s speed. Although it’s hard to see baby locks fall to the floor, we gained a handsome young man looking quite spiffy :-)
Upsides — kids can choose to sit in a pink jeep, a motorcycle, a duckie, etc, for their haircut. They sell the best detangler in the world. Your child can finish their cut with added spray colour (comes right out easily, not sticky or messy) or sparkles. There are some toys and a ball pit to occupy them if you’re a walk-​in and need to wait a few minutes.
The downsides? The ball pit was closed, which had been the enticement we promised — they didn’t seem to know why, other than guessing that some child had an accident in it. The shelves are full of over-​priced junk toys guaranteed to induce pleading or even whining. Not all employees seem very experienced or in love with their jobs (or very understanding of young children).

My mother recently took my toddler to this location after we were disgusted by how dirty the Mayfield Common location was last time. This location has always been clean whenever we pop in and they have the most amazing detangler ever! Its a little on the pricey side but is a hundred times better than anything you will find in the drugstore! It comes in orange or pink and you can get refills at a discounted price.
One thing I’m not a big fan of is all the overpriced toy junk for sale. I mean, really, do you need to have shelves of overpriced dollarstore crap for my child to get into and beg me for? Fine, sell some stuff for a dollar but $ 5 for a crappy car or dinosaur is excessive!
The reason they are getting three stars on this review is that the quality of haircuts we have had on both occasions is subpar. It’s like they get young kids who have just got their license before they move onto a «real» job. On both occasions, both stylists didn’t follow our simple requests and instead did something entirely different.
