Surprisingly delicious! I ordered the Sonora pasta. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The sauce was just spicy enough. We had the pale ale from Lighthouse Brewery. Our servers were very attentive. We’ll be back again!

Fish and chips! Not bad! But the fish isn’t even local, for being on the ocean in one of the best fishing spots they should be serving local fresh fish! Disappointment won’t return…

This was my second attempt at a decent meal and it was just as terrible as the first. Went there for the first time a year ago and was violently ill afterwards however I noticed online that they changed their menu to a more inclusive gluten free menu(food allergy not preference) so it’s my mandate to always give any business a second chance. Went there today as I wanted to take my mum for some gluten free fish and chips. We ordered our dish and the place was empty(should have been a clue) so the food came out very promptly. Apparently too promptly as the fish inside of our very deep fried batter was freezing inside, not just cold but still frozen solid. I’m impressed that someone could actually put so little care into the food prep that this was overlooked. Will never be returning. Convenient location and we had a nice server on the plus side.

Amazing food, and delightful service! Two of us ate for $ 60.00! Seafood was cooked to perfection and dietary needs were met without a flinch from either the kitchen or servers, and that’s something hard to find. Would defiantly go back, and recommend to anyone — the menu has a little something for everyone from fish and chips to a AAA steak dinner.

We had a couple Lighthouse brews, a brisket sandwich and a shrimp salad sandwich. The brisket with gouda sandwich was outstanding, the shrimp sandwich was just ok. The beer was very good. Cute place and nice servers.

This was actual the second choice for dinner last night, but it turned out to be a gem. The restaurant has a very casual atmosphere, but it belies the quality of food that they deliver. They staff is helpful and very friendly. The service was fast, but they were not pushing you to hurry even though they were going to close in an hour. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Filet of fish with prawns in a pesto sauce. I only had a taste of the chicken, but it was delicious and something that I would love to try the next time I visit here. My dinner was a lightly breaded piece of haddock, four tender prawns in pesto, along with an herb mash potato and mixed veggies. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavors to die for. The fish melted in you mouth. My companion describes the Chicken Marsala and tender and juicy and the sauce was a symphony of flavor. It was everything he had hoped for.

Great hole in the wall overflowing with patrons. Ample parking, excellent menu variety, organic, free range menu items for more discerning tastes. Very attentive service and huge, oversized portions. Prices are average. Great overall value. Apply, 2 entrees, 2 alcoholic beverages, for under $ 60 taxes in. We have the utmost confidence in referring this restaurant to our family, friends and fellow Unilocalers of course:). We are looking forward to dining here again on our next vacation to beautiful Sooke BC!:)

My girlfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch after biking all the way from Victoria on a tour of Vancouver Island. It was delicious. The brisket sandwich was big, juicy, and had a perfectly bold flavor — AWESOME. The fish burger was outstanding. Perfectly cooked. Very friendly and attentive service. The hostess/server(?) was nice enough to try and make me an Arnold Palmer, despite the fact that they didn’t have unsweetened iced tea(I now know that is not a common beverage in Canada). When I found it WAY too sweet, she politely brought me some water. They even called some of the back of house staff out to help us find a place to camp, since it was a holiday weekend and we were travelling. Their recommendation worked out perfectly. The décor was very comforting, and the menu was creative. Thank you for a memorable stop on our journey.

We order 3 dish only 1 dish taste ok. The fish is not fresh and the shellfish is over cook. Mom’s café and the mix by the Rics is much better.

Reasonable prices. Diverse menu with daily specials that are ethnic, sophisticated and as appealing as they are tasty. Another great restaurant in little Sooke.

A very unusual and flavorful menu that is difficult to describe. Can’t say that I’ve had eaten anything quite like it. Fish and Asian cuisine was fresh and tasty. Would like to try more.

Reasonable prices. Friendly people. Good location. Good food with a great variety. We’ll go back. Not your«white table cloth» «romantic interlude» dinner. Just good food, artfully prepared and served at reasonable prices by friendly people. The food is the art here… eat here and be happy.

When a business trip recently brought me to the pretty community of Sooke, I had dinner at this place. It is EXACTLY the thing you want on a chilly evening in winter. Warm friendly and clean interior — so happened it was done up with a bit of Christmas cheer. The menu has some very nice items on it. I had a steak salad that was so delish… and really nicely presented. The service was perfect like you would expect in a white napkin bigger urban place — yet everybody seemed to know each other. I would love to go back in the daytime for the nice drive out to Sooke, and would specifically plan to go to the Stone Pipe.
