I love coming to this huge bookstore! Large sections dedicated to travel and children’s literature. In the travel section, they have maps you can buy from all over the world. So neat!
They also have a gigantic section if magazines, anything you can imagine — they have it.
The staff have always been super friendly and knowledgable.
I’m not a huge reader, but boy do I love the smell of books!

Tanner’s is a really great little book store, with a lovely selection of local and top sellers. They’ve got knowledgeable staff and are nestled in cute and quaint Sydney to boot.
I hight recommend if you’re looking for something specific, or if you just want to browse.

Growing up in Sidney, this was always the place to stop by whenever you walked down Beacon. Been here a million times. They always had the cat on the counter to visit, a great selection, something for all of us to check out, and Nibs on the counter to buy on the way out. When I think of Beacon Ave, I think of Tanners. I hope this place is always there when I go back — lots of nostalgia.
